I did very well on my goals last month. The only thing I didn’t do was the Allison Davis July sketch. I’ll be busy making memories this month but towards the end of the month I’m hoping to do the July and October sketches.

I did a ton of scrapping last month, so my goals in October are mostly organization related...
Finish the small stack of half-finished layouts on my desk.
Take all the layouts out of one album (I'll probably start with 2004), glue anything back on that's falling off,
take pictures in good light of all the layouts, reassemble. I did not consistently take pictures when I finished making a page until a few years ago, and I'd like a digital back up in case my house burns down... I'm not doing 20 years worth of scrapping in one month, just 2004 for now.
Sort three shoe boxes of photos by decade/person.
Boring, but future me will probably appreciate if I did these things...

I still need to find one single photo in my garage and scan it in to wrap up my Spain album. Unfortunately, I missed Shutterfly's unlimited pages sale last week as it usually runs through the following Wednesday but didn't. I'm not sure if they'll run another one before the new year but I'll be ready for it if they do.
I'm a little scattered this month scrap-wise. Digital Scrapbooking Day is this Saturday so I have lots of new goodies to play with but I don't know how scrappy I'll feel the rest of the month. I have lots of other life things going on & am caught up from 2009 - 2022 so it doesn't feel really pressing to scrap or that I'm behind and could use that as motivation, I guess.
Maybe my goal will be just to focus on making memories and then when the lull of November comes, I'll have fun new photos to scrap.

Another half finished album completed - forced myself to add the last few cards and embellishments and journaling. I can always go back and add more but for now there are pictures and there are stories and I have completed them to a level I’m happy with. I’m the scrapper that does 98% of the album and then just can’t do that last thing so I can put the project away… and I’m working on that!
I am so proud of myself as I’ve been trying hard to use up my mish mash of old stories by the month kits so next year I can use ones where I have a “full set” which I’m excited about (and I need to use these products and stop collecting/stashing them.)
Still to accomplish:
Complete 2024 pl’s so they’re up to date
Complete 2023 pl’s (the end of that year was super bad so I completely fell off the bandwagon)
Complete two ae “pieces of” notebooks - I’m happy for these to wait as I like to be more creative when telling stories and I’m currently in a stash busting “get it done” mood more. They also only contain seven prompts each so they are very manageable for me.

This month I want to finish the rest of the Sketchtember layouts. I think I have seven left. I need to do the September and October Alison Davis sketches. October Sheetload of Cards. Finish my Cardtober samples and do maybe half the other challenges. I also need to do my August and September monthly pocket pages.

•prep for November retreat
•back up photos
•VB Bold and Bright class
•select and print photos for completed class LOs (this is the hard part for me)
•select next project/album to work on
•clean scrap area

My only goal this month is to get Halloween cards in the mail. I'm half way done getting them prepared to go out. I should be done with this week.

I'm not even going to bother mentioning the travel pages I want to complete. Since I posted my goals a few months ago, I've added another overseas trip, and in that time I didn't do a single page for the other three travel albums I am working on.
The only thing I want to do is finish the remaining sketches from Sketchtember. I think I have about nine to go.

I'm on the right track! I had a crafty weekend and finished Sketchtember and my Cardtober samples. I also finished one of my pocket page spreads.

Trying to keep up with CARDtober. Able to do it so far, but there are some days I will be away from home, so not sure how that interruption will put the brakes on.
Looking forward to a crop later in the month. While there, I want to scrap my leftover pic's from spring and summer, and new fall pic's. Might have to pack kits, as the themes are pretty varied, and I really don't want to pack up my whole scraproom. I still have about eight more SKETCHtember sketches, plus three Allison Davis sketches from SCT Sketch 2024 class, so that should help.
Also plan to start making holiday cards this month.

Update: - Four albums completed - Two albums waiting on a photo or two (ordered today) and then they are done - 2024 PL for me, ds and dd up to date Still to complete: - 2 x pieces of notebooks - Nz trip albums from 2002 (journaling done… which is so weird for me, just need to add the photos in!) - Playing and prepping for dd 2024, have my items but nothing is inspiring me yet In the meantime I have also cleared out my “random wtf ephemera from who knows when” tub and put everything at least in the album it belongs in if not included it on a page. Cleared out a bunch of stickers I won’t use and gave them to a preschool, and also used up a bunch of other random ones (ie used puffy heart stickers from ae that lose all their stick once I take them off the backing sheet as tabs on inset pages by stapling to the protector and each other. |
