Threads is basically Meta’s version of X (Twitter). I don’t think nearly as many people actually post on there by comparison. The only downside I’ve seen is that I believe it’s linked to your Instagram account and if you decide you want to drop Threads it will force close your Instagram account too. I set up an account on there mostly just as a placeholder for my business but I never really use it.

It's like X (Twitter). None of my friends use it and only a handful of Internet friends do.
I am on IG for photos and videos, no worst posts. I have seen political ones be pushed at me when scrolling and trying to get me to join Threads.
Nope.
My IG is 99% political free and I want to keep it that way

As others have said, it is Meta’s version of X. I read it has like 200 million monthly active users. I do have an account and follow people, but I don’t open the app a lot and I am not an active user. I’ll get recommendations pop up on IG. Sometimes I’ll check them out. There are interesting convos on there. One person asked “why do people willingly live in Los Angeles?” 😂 The comments were interesting to read. I don’t follow anyone political, so it is easy, at least for me, to avoid anything political on there. I don’t use X anymore.
