Do you get cards that are late and the person sending it tells you, "I didn't realize your day was coming until I turned the calendar page?"
It has happened often in my life. It doesn't bother me, I am just happy that someone cares.
I had another person apologize today and I am not sure she believes me that I am not feeling down about it.

My birthday is in the middle of the month, but DS (11) is on the 1st, and I kind of wish I'd picked the end of July instead... A friend told me the 1st would be easy to remember, guess which friend forgets every year  |

Mine is in the middle of the month and people still forget it, so 🤷🏻♀️. I have a friend whose birthday is on Dec. 30th and I always, ALWAYS remember it either ten days too soon or three days too late.
(And Happy Belated Birthday, since I pretty much never look at the birthday thread.) 🥳

My birthday is on the 2nd and my sisters are consistently late. But then they’re like that with everything so who knows? I mostly get Facebook wishes anyway and that reminder is there.

My youngest daughter's birthday is 11/1. I don't think I have ever heard anyone say it, nor is she bothered by it if she gets a delayed greeting. But I have heard my sister-in-law, whose birthday is also 11/1 say that it has happened to her frequently (and she is also not bothered by it).

No that's never happened to me but my husband who's birthday is just before Christmas gets forgotten all the time because people are preoccupied with other things.

As I stated previously, I am happy to even be remembered, so a few days late is OK.
Another friend calls it her birthday season and enjoys greetings for about a month.

Not about a birthday but my wedding anniversary is on the first day of a month and so far I think I'm batting about 50% for remembering it ahead of time myself. Luckily, dh is every bit as bad as me, so it's become quite funny to us over the years about how late in the day it can be, or even how many days later it is, before one of us remembers and sends "that" text. 😳🤣 |
