grammadee Yes the cake and candles DO convey the sentiment! Great use of the sketch and ephemera. Shakti Nicely done interpretation for what you have in your stash. I especially like the balloon stamp in the background.

Very cool cards, angel97701! Pretty colours. (I thought for a moment the greeting said "Celebrate your Spectrum", and thought that went perfectly with the rays LOL) Lots of extra work, but well worth it.

Very cool cards, angel97701 ! Pretty colours. (I thought for a moment the greeting said "Celebrate your Spectrum", and thought that went perfectly with the rays LOL) Lots of extra work, but well worth it. Not too much extra, not 4x's extra as the design was already cut. Once it was cut the rest was easy. I didn't want to waste pretty 25-year-old leaf patterned paper and all the sections fit together nicely as they were cut in a stack on my paper trimmer.

grammadee so colorful, such a great cutting plate. Shakti another two-fer. I like your diagonal cuts and your vivid colors. angel97701 so well done and precise, how it all fits together. Perfect for fall. justjac thank you for the sunburst sketch challenge! All those papers in all those patterns and arranged so nicely. I must be in a citrus mood.

grammadee, nice take on the challenge, and that is a lovely birthday card. Shakti, like you, I don’t have a sunburst die, but I like what you did with this challenge. angel97701, that is a beautiful autumn card. jjpeapea, I love your orange sunburst. I like how you did the sections. I was thinking this challenge would be a bit harder, since I don’t have a sectioned die like the challenge sample, but I think I could hand cut a pinwheel version as you did.

When others mentioned using a cover plate die for the burst sketch I figured I could use my sunshine and clouds die. Hopefully it’s inspired by the sketch enough to count. But after struggling with these 3 cards and remembering that I struggle with it every time I try to use it it’s going in the donation pile! Such a cool look but so much trouble to actually use, even when I ran it through to emboss the design on my background as a guide. Using glitter and foil/sticker paper didn’t help matters, although it got me 2 challenges in one crafting session, plus my own rainbow one if I count the foil paper! justjac Very fun sketch and easy to execute with a circle punch! I followed your lead 19OctHappyBday by Neva Cole, on Flickr Papers from my stash, most likely Provo Craft Stack. Hero Arts sentiment and images. Versa Clair Fine Pinecone and Paradise. Found a ribbon that was sheer in the center and just the right color of blue to create a nice border on the sentiment strip. Pre-made A7 Kraft card base.

angel97701 I like the blue border you added to the sentiment strip. It helps it to stand out a bit more against the circles. justjac , my hat is off to you for all that punching. I’ve had wrist issues for years, so I decided to go a much simpler route with an angled scalloped die instead. I skipped the sentiment, since I’m not sure how I want to use this one, but I plan to just stamp it in one of the lower corners.

Wow. I really need to take some time to look at everyone's cards and leave some love. Here is my take on yesterday's sketch, justjac. I had meant to make it all punched strips, but could not resist throwing in some snowbanks... Ct 19 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

angel97701 Great way to celebrate the sketch. Deep blue and chocolately brown look great together. scrapnnana I love how you honored the sketch but mixed it up a bit. grammadee Oh wow, I love how creative a turn you took with your repeated trees in rows. I love the texture and multicolors of your trees. justjac Thank you for the sketch challenge! Yours is so cute. I especially like how the circle in the bottom row has the "love you more" on top of it. My first try was hexagons and I was going to add a bee-themed pun. FAIL! So I went with the original sketch.

scrapnnana, those are gorgeous blues in your sunburst card. And I love that frilly envelope look for the last challenge. Again, pretty colours. Speaking of colour, jjpeapea, the organges in your starburst are really striking. And I lOVE the red and the sparkle in this week's card. Love the birthday party elements floating above the sentiment strip on your circle card, angel97701.

grammadee, your card is lovely, and I also have enjoyed seeing how creative you are with the different challenges. Your rows of snow and pine trees are a great adaptation of the challenge. jjpeapea, your card is gorgeous! The glitter circles and mix of the other papers are so pretty.

#12 - I struggled and struggled with the starburst and finally gave up and copied jjpeapea's pinwheel design which still took several tries to work out. #19

I wouldn't have thought to use circle punches this way justjac Great color scheme angel97701 and finding the perfect ribbon for your sentiment was a great finishing touch. The scallops layered in a deep V are a little unexpected scrapnnana. I love the look. Love the candy cane colors of your card jjpeapea Fun idea to use graphic tree shapes Shakti! I like how you and grammadee both used trees but in totally different ways. Both are cool. Way to catch up so fast Linda. Starbursts and pinwheels can be deceptively tricky. I like your muted/vintage Christmas color palette on all 3 cards. I had some of these elements on my desk for a totally different purpose, but when I started playing I realized the snowflake border was perfect for this sketch. I only have one border die and for a minute thought I'd decluttered it. Cut up some scraps and leftovers and even managed to glue an off cut inside for a little added jazziness. Shakti, I like your variation. It turned out really cute. Linda, card #5 is lovely, #12 turned out well (that was a hard one for me, too), and your #19 circles card looks very festive. joblackford, your skiing boy version is adorable. I love the width variation in your borders.

justjac , your snowflake border and card are beautiful. grammadee , I love your Christmas greens and gifts border. I made two attempts for this one, one an intricate die cut border, and for the second I made a border with die cut board dies that can be inked and embossed to show the wood grain details. I used AI designs for the butterfly and the girl.

grammadee great die cuts arranged so well. They set a scence like we are getting a peek into someone's Christmas morning. scrapnnana your takes are so different in feel and both so lovely. justjac thank you for the sketch challenge! I love your card. I like how you kept the sentiment simple and the frame calls attention to it. I hate to be derivative but I own exactly one border die and I really liked how your sentiment looks in the frame. Happy winter winter wishes to you!
