I'm browsing Amazon at the moment looking for some comfortable boots for winter. I found a pair of Spring Step boots. They have good reviews but I have never heard of this brand. Is it a decent brand? Are they usually pretty comfortable? They're around $100 which is my max budget so I'd rather pick something else if these are questionable.

I looked at them on Amazon. They have some good reviews. The 2 styles that I looked at do not have a lot of reviews though. This is my personal opinion, but I prefer to buy shoes from brands that I know-on sale. It might be because I have problematic feet. I did a google search of “womens boot sales” and quite a few boots came up near your price point. But this just might be because I expect boots and shoes to last for a few years, so I guess that it depends on what you look for in a boot. Your mileage may vary. Are you looking for a warm, practical boot, or a stylish one, for example. Good luck with the hunt!

I have an older pair of sandals in Alegria -ish style. They’re comfortable for my achilles issues. And they’ve held up well enough. I’d chance a pair of boots.
ETA Nordstrom Rack has several Spring Step boots online this morning, with lower prices than Amazon!

Yes, I saw a pair of short black leather booties that looked really cute. This was a couple of years ago. I think I paid around $99 for them. They fit well, were comfy, and I wear them a lot in the winter. You can always return if you don’t like them, which is what made me take a chance on them.

I don't know about those, but a LOT of Amazon reviews are from people that received the item free. AND they put the top positive reviews first. If you go to the bottom of the reviews, then click on more reviews, you can then filter by newest (instead of the default top positive) and then Verified purchases only". I've been shocked when looking at items that had great reviews, but when filtered like that had ZERO reviews. That said, if still unsure I will only buy items that have free returns.
