Let's see, anyone else have their 91 yr old co-worker fall and possible break their hip at 9:15am, in the office? Did anyone finally get to voice some frustration to their boss and just sort of break down in tears because that is how your frustration manifests? Can anyone barely walk or move without a sudden jabbing pain in their back from some unknown cause? No? Just me? Well, that is how my Monday is progressing. Geez! What a morning. Is she OK? And my frustration/anger always, always comes with tears. Now for a bit of good news. I had my 6 month check up last week with my PCP. I got my bloodwork letter on Friday. My total cholestrol was 183, down from 202. All the other numbers were down and in normal levels. This is excellent!

My total cholestrol was 183, down from 202. All the other numbers were down and in normal levels. This is excellent! Sadly, we just got word that her hip is broken and she will need surgery. She just lost her husband in January. Her son and DIL have been pushing her to move to a more assisted living facility. She is still very sharp mind wise. She fell and broke her other hip several years ago. But since then has been fine. Her shoe just got caught on the carpet and she fell. In a most graceful way, I might add. But it was just the right way, unfortunately. Happily, my frustrations were heard. The new pastor is a complete 180 of what we had. He understands what I and the Minister of Music bring up to him, for the most part shouldn't be big deals. However, we have been unheard for the past 12 years and he sees this. So in a vacuum not biggies but under the microscope it just explodes. Policies and procedures being swept under the rug for ego and dominance have made us feel like that dog that has been scolded far too long. It is just taking us a bit to get used to a new and gentler way.

naby64 I wish I was at Arrowhead. But alas we will be home to watch. Someday I will see a game there. My broth is almost done and oh my goodness it is heaven on a spoon. Yum. Also got dh scheduled for training for dd's IgG infusions. I love our home health pharmacy for her. Ds is better than it had been with other providers. Oh and not sure if I ever updated but my filing with CA Pharmacy Board produced a good outcome and the HHP that caused problems (like withholding our deliveries) is in big trouble. I will not be told course of action unfortunately but yeah...

Just stopping by quickly to let everyone know that we are currently waiting on the ambulance to arrive and transport Dh to the rehab center! We are so ready for the next step of this journey to start. Thanks to everyone for their support, prayers and encouragement during this. Will try to get back to the thread later this evening.

It was expensive and I would put it in sippy cups until he was about 4. My son cannot drink milk. I did what was right for my son. I totally felt your fight because infant formula without iron was so hard to get. Cow’s milk out of the question. I wanted to hug you and tell you I felt that struggle.

Oh and naby64 I'm glad you are getting somewhere at work. I caught my coworker two weeks late on something, my boss responded making excuses for her. I got word 6 minutes after his response came in that she did the damn things outstanding. And so I sent a message to him. With the email notifications showing it was 6 minutes after. I laid out all the facts and then I concluded with the statement, "I question the sincerity of your response." I feel like he was trying to gaslight me. 🙄 In other news....I found a job posting for what would be my dream job. Yes, not just a stopgap to get out of where I am currently but an actual step up for me (pay raise) new challenge for me, and my background ticks every box as far as experience and education go. I'm applying tomorrow after I write a custom cover letter. Please if you are praying people. This is a job I can get excited about. Very excited.

Super congratulations to everyone making progress with eating from your freezers! I actually was able to make room in ours for a container of ice cream instead of making Nick take it to the garage freezer. We have used chicken twice, vegetables and bananas so far, and tonight we will have pork chops and vegetables from in there. We have a big thing of salmon my cousin's husband caught and brought us, so I suspect we nay be eating that next week. And maybe beyond, bc I think it is big. I did cheat a little, bc our local grocery had Rump roast on sale for 3.99 a lb! So we had that last night. I will use the leftovers to make Italian beef sandwiches.
Had some family drama early this morning that I let derail me, so today has been sad. Maybe send some good energy this way? Love to everyone!

I have two funerals this week my sister lost her mother in law and my mom's stepbrother. I'm sorry there is so much sadness to deal with this week. Thankfully the 2 Benadryl calmed it down and I didn't need my epi pens. I really hope it isn't another allergy for you. After dropping off our souvenir shopping, we then went out again for the one experience we hadn’t yet done - a gondola ride. I know it’s cheesy and ultra-touristy, but it was a fun and relaxing half hour. So fun! I love that you are ending the trip with spa days & treatments. My dd has so much sickness all day and asked me to drive her to her OB appointment. Is this Luke's mom? Hoping it is just a first trimester thing. I checked out all the Little Libraries in my town last night and found some good reads. I rode my bike and took a bag full to exchange. It’s a great way to get rid of some that I’ve read and restock my library. Love this! got my bloodwork letter on Friday. My total cholestrol was 183, down from 202. All the other numbers were down and in normal levels. Sorry Monday has been so up and down for you, but this really is great news! Good for you! Just stopping by quickly to let everyone know that we are currently waiting on the ambulance to arrive and transport Dh to the rehab center! So happy for all of you! Had some family drama early this morning that I let derail me, so today has been sad. Maybe send some good energy this way? Ugh. Good energy heading east. A little will keep going past you to jeremysgirl. It is awesome to see a job that excites you showing up. My Monday started very early as DH somehow forgot his hard hat and safety vest. He knew he was going to a job site, so this is a big miss. Lucky for him I was up early and he was only 30 minutes from home, so I ran the items to him. But then had to scoot back home, shower and get to my ophthalmologist for measurements before next week's cataract surgery. Ran a few errands after, including a stop at Costco to return a couple things. I did go in looking for Worcestershire sauce because I dropped my almost full Costco sized bottle on the tile last week. They didn't have any so I asked on my way out if they still carry it. Turns out my closest store doesn't. It is only carried locally at the Business Center store. We are having a Frenchish vegetable soup for dinner (carrots, onion, celery, green beans, cannellini beans) with sourdough bread.

I think we're taking her to Red Lobster. Family gets in town from Seattle this weekend and we're having a progressive brunch crawl for all of the October birthdays. Not many meals will probably be at home this month but it should be fun. Oooh, a brunch crawl sounds so fun! Red Lobster is one of DH and my faves! (and I worked there many years, you'd think I'd hate it). This afternoon I have my voice lesson, but I haven't practiced my new aria, because of my cold. I wish we could hear your voice, and I'm sorry your cold is ruining your aria. I used to sing a lot, too, and loved it. I have two funerals this week my sister lost her mother in law and my mom's stepbrother. So sorry! IT's been in the 70s here which is a lot warmer than normal. I'm over it. Today is high of 65. It was low 50s last night and I left all my windows open. I'm all about fall. Girl, I would be ECSTATIC for 70s !!! And today, your high is 65--lucky! Either way my eyes almost swelled shut and I have hives. Thankfully the 2 Benadryl calmed it down and I didn't need my epi pens. Good gosh. I swear at some point I will be for.ula fed myself. Sigh Wow...sorry you have so many life-threatening allergies! But...I don't want to disturb the kitty laying on it. So I haven't attempted to take it. LOL! oooh, DH and I can relate! We NEVER disturb anything our doggies are lying on! And when Meaty and Sophie used to sleep with us, this was so true!

Wonderful news !!!!!! This has been suchhh a long, arduous time for Mr. Gypsy, you and your dd. Can't wait for him to get back home!!! I've been meaning to ask---does the sweet doggie show signs of missing him? Depending on the rehab facility, you might be allowed to bring doggie to visit DH. Imagine how that would motivate DH to get home even more!!!

I have no idea what's for dinner---yet. It's usually made spur of the moment, unless it's something that needs to simmer for hours/ go in the crockpot, etc. Tomorrow I have a Dexa Bone Scan, and I'm very much looking forward to finding out if my osteoporosis has improved. I've been on a slightly scary/ verrry expensive medication for 2 years that my provider highly encouraged me to take. Daily (sub-Q) injections was getting OLD! On the bright side, at least bone density scans don't HURT like the other crappy tests I have to do. When I fell and broke my humerus in 4 places, then a few months later--a rib, then weeks later---ANOTHER rib, I just assumed it was normal to have broken bones when you hit the floor that hard. NOPE! Was told I had serious osteoporosis. Seriously !??!! Long story, but I have had to deal with extreme anger that not one of the doctors, PAs, nurses, etc. that I saw through the years told me that I was a HIGH risk for osteoporosis and should have taken steps to prevent it. I'm also pissed at who I THOUGHT was an awesome doctor I saw 7 years ago who told me I was "too young" for a bone density scan. I guess she forgot to check my history at why I was very high risk for osteoporosis. But I believed her, because she's the one who went to a million years of college to be a specialist, right? /rant over

Tearisci. I’m interested in knowing about the scrubber you bought. I need something. **GypsyGirl**. Yay!! Dinner tonight was a shrimp sheet pan dinner. Lots of veggies that roasted up and then I tossed in some shrimp to roast too. It’s really good. pantsonfire oh dear. Local honey is so good too for allergies. I wonder if there was something else in it.

I made a chicken pot pie for dinner. When Ive made it before Ive used already cooked chicken Ive had in the freezer. Today I had to poach the chicken. It made it more chaotic for sure abd I didnt cut the chicken small enough. It was good and ds came over to help us eat it. There was enough left for him to have for dinner tomorrow, so I sent him off with that!
Also, go Tigers!!! We werent even supposed to be in the playoffs and here we are!

bc2ca....I'm confused--are you saying a regular Costco doesn't carry Worshhhaachacha sauce, but a business one does? Eeek on dropping what I assume was a huuuuge bottle on your floor. Since you mentioned the holiday hash and make me drool with how you prepare it , I did NOT in fact make it to Trader Joe's yesterday. But I cannot wait to go asap. For the time period where I rarely went anywhere, I started watching other people shopping on youtube. I still love to watch, but now---I can actually go to those stores! pantsonfire---I dunno if you even shop at TJ's, but since you have to be uber careful with yours and your kiddos' allergies, I thought you'd enjoy this lady's vids. I love how she shows each label, because I read lots of them in the store. This way, you can know all that info before shopping.

scrappintoee fingers crossed for a good scan tomorrow. My sister has RA. She went for a scan at 44 years old. She keeps trying to get me to push my doctor to have one done. Do you think it's a good idea to get a baseline? I'm 49.
