Has the ACOT hold (hold multiple orders until you meet the free or discount shipping minimums), affected your purchasing style (not sure if "style" is the correct terminology to use)? Meaning >> are you not purchasing the "filler" items or and not purchasing the "maybe" items, because now you don't "have to" add an item or two.... just meet the purchase minimum? I just thought of this, when I was adding a couple of the pre-order items to my cart....that are "maybe's". I don't need to purchase filler or maybe items anymore, because I can don't have to add anything to meet a minimum.... I can wait until all my orders are product I really like and love. In the past, if I was undecided on an item or had a lot of something similar....I would only purchase if I needed to spend a few more dollars to qualify for free shipping. I just realized I don't have to do that anymore.

Not at all. I made a purchase soon after they started that and I forget that they are holding it. I'm thinking of just releasing at half price shipping because who knows when I will get to free shipping. Lately I have not been much into buying like I did before. I think this whole year I have only bought inks and refills. Most of the year I avoided ACOT because shipping was pricier to my side of the country. I think I just got carried away. ETA: Or maybe my whole purchase was "filler", but I did not pick out anything I forced myself to meet any minimum. All of it was discounted price.

I've bought more than before. Does that count?

Yes! I never bought the filler stuff to meet free shipping. But I would have to limit my purchase to make sure I could cover shipping and be within my budget for the month.
Now? I can spend a little more if I want to because I don't need to cover shipping now.
I also feel better buying something small that is back in stock (like Stickles) or some stickers or a few extra pieces of paper I really like and want more of.
I also love that I can take advantage of pre orders and save on that and know I have the item.
My order I received Friday that was 4 separate orders were 2 pre orders - SS Christmas line and TH witch die.
So when I released everything it was about $20 to ship (I was at half off but upgraded to USPS).
So this month I only spent that on crafts and that is great as it's a tight month.

I just released my orders, so thought I would chime in here with some thoughts. -I don't spend as much on crafting as I thought I did. I started holding orders right after they launched this, and like FurryP I don't know when I will get to free shipping. I am still only half way there (and that was with what I considered a big purchase, Altenew brushes) and I would really like some of the stuff I have been waiting months for. So I hit the ship button. -I love being able to take advantage of sales on small stuff and not have to tack shipping on to it right away. That is so great, and really helpful. Like one tiny bottle of paint. -It did lead to more small impulse buying for me. I think if I have to deal with shipping, I am more likely to think through a purchase. -If you are more of a "I want it now" person, obviously this isn't for you. I will say that I know I had something saved and I really could have used it a couple months ago, and now I am kind of over it...so I don't know if there would ever be a return option for items that you don't really need or want anymore. I can see how that would be awful for ACOT. All in all, I think it is an awesome option and I really like it, however I don't know how often I will do it, simply because I just don't need that much stuff. But it sure is going to be fun to get my box.

OMG. If the stupid two sheets of cocoa vanilla don't come in soon I'm going to be so angry.
I will definitely be making sure I don't have any pre-order stuff in my orders.
What is wrong with that company? It said September originally so I figured (at the time) that September was almost over so it would be safe.
It's been 3 weeks.

I pre-ordered some Vicky Boutin at the end of July that was going to be here in August. That was fine, I didn't need it right away. It was not here until early October... I almost just had the rest of my stuff shipped, but the shipping was $12 and I didn't want it that badly. And to answer the original question, no. It would take me over a year to spend $139 needed to get free shipping. I looked at my past orders to figure this out. I would rather pay for shipping and get stuff every few months than wait a year...

I hope they come in very soon! If I didn't have Halloween stuff in the order, it would have been fine. I haven't asked ACOT to do anything but I'd like to move those two to the next order (since I have already placed another order). That cocoa vanilla is more expensive than the others and takes forever to arrive. This happened before. I clearly did not learn my lesson. I just figured the shipping estimate would have already been inflated so I would not have to wait weeks for orders I started placing this Summer.

It's been a while since I've purchased anything at ACOT, but I do use the bank it system at Scrapbook Generation. I also used the pick up at WeCreate option.
I think I definitely purchase more, since I can purchase stuff on a whim, instead of carefully thinking through everything that will get me to a free shipping threshold.

I haven’t purchased since the change since I haven’t been buying much as crafting is down. But i have used this same thing from Scrapbook Generation and it has been nice to buy only what I want and it to add up.

You know like before when you would buy 1 line and items were coming in and you would be waiting on one or two pieces, so you could ship what was in stock now and then you'd get what was left in a separate order and just pay a little, if anything, for shipping.

I don't know. I mean the stuff will probably mostly go into the craft hoard. I just like getting mail. I will NEVER pre-order from that line again.

The last time I preordered from them, it took an additional 2 months to be received from month stated. I got mad after an extra month, so canceled my pre order then bought when it arrived.

I didn't even know they were doing this! Thank you for the info.
(So, no, it hasn't changed my purchasing behavior...yet...haha)

I haven’t ordered from ACOT lately but when i do, I won’t use the hold. I order in small increments throughout the year and the minimal shipping doesn’t bother me.

Nope, my usual order meets the free shipping requirement, so I don't need to use it.
I never pre-order anything, either. When I want it, I want it now.

No. I thought it might but I still only buy from them when someone posts about free shipping- like yesterday. I just don’t buy much from them and the couple sheets of paper (that I don’t need) per month would take so long to reach a meaningful break in shipping I probably would no longer care about the items once they came. If I like it enough I’ll just pay shipping or just not bother to look at their site unless they have free shipping. I think it’s a really great idea and if I bought more I would be all Over it.

No; it has not influenced/changed my purchasing habits. Since I use the reward program & only order there a couple times annually, it would probably take me at least two years to even reach free shipping! Therefore, I will continue to place an order only when my cart is full & during a free shipping promotion or 20% off sale.

My orders usually aren’t that large do I always have the $6 shipping. I use some of my points so it’s not too bad.
