I will have to remember to unsubscribe to Justine and Laurel and friends, but I signed up for this 12 Days of Christmas Christmas card class. Starts this weekend. One card per day. Anyone else? |

They tend to be pretty good about not only encouraging you to use what you have but also making suggestions about other things that would work.
But I get the concern….

I don’t expect this to change anyone’s mind if they haven’t registered, but I started watching some of the tutorials last night and I’m pretty impressed. Justine really emphasizes using what you have, discussing in detail all the range of types of products that can and also encouraging viewers who think they can’t do that, just can’t figure how to make a substitution, that they absolutely CAN.

So Day One is an elegant looking card with layered stencil border strip. They used the Better Press, which I don't have, but I can definitely do something with the card design.

Yup, I got a preview email for the 12 Days which showed some lovely designs and lots of links for where to buy each element. I’m with you, I would end up with a shopping list. I know that they emphasize using what you have but I find these kinds of demos far too tempting. It’s a me problem. (I only needed one good idea for Xmas cards anyway, so I searched for videos and photos using the specific embossing folder I have and want to use.) |
