Good morning.
Wow, does this tribe ever need some relief from stress. So many peas are having trouble right now. My thoughts are w/you and may you find peace, very soon.
I have a morning chat w/my mom friends. Then I have a much needed haircut. I can't wait to look human.
What are you doing today?
Dinner will be a new chicken Marsala recipe. As someone who doesn't drink, it took me forever to find Marsala wine. I finally had to ask for help.
What's on your menu?
How is everyone doing today?
May today bring happiness and calm for our little tribe.

I am feeling pretty good today ... my new guy has been in constant contact with me through phone and text while he is in Las Vegas! We really like each other! Today I need to grab a few groceries and that's about it ... I might watch the Menendez brothers documentary that just came out on Netflix this week ... it's different from the other series ... Dinner is up in the air ...

Good morning scrapmaven. Enjoy your time with your friends. You are beautiful to me with or without a haircut! We are having rechauffe for dinner. Tacos were good. peasapie I make black bean and squash tacos all the time. I love that pairing. OK, so a little update. I know the person who would be my boss in the job I'm applying for. Not only do I know her, but she was the director of accounting at the place where I did a mentoring program in 2014 and my MBA internship in 2016. In addition, her boss happens to be good friends with a former boss of mine who I use a reference. So I would be 100% shocked if I didn't at least get an interview. This bodes well for me. I appreciate all the good vibes. I rewrote my cover letter and am applying today. I'm on a bit of an emotional overload lately. It's just a whole lot of things that I won't get into. I'm trying to keep up, but I may have to step away for a little bit. Just because I feel like I need a reset button.

Good afternoon, It has been a dismal day here in the Süd Tirol! Luckily, we came here to relax, not sightsee, so we’ve done just that. I had a massage before lunch and DH has been reading and catching up on TV. There is a wine tasting presented by a local vintner at our hotel this evening, for the hour before dinner. We’ll pop down for that, then dinner itself is Tirolean themed and it looks good - 6 small courses and a salad buffet. The weather looks to be clearing, so hopefully we’ll be able to get out tomorrow - the newsletter in our room on arrival says there is a market near the train station, about a 15 minute walk, in the morning.

leannec , I'm happy to hear that your new guy is treating you so well and you sound happy. Woohoo. What can you tell us about him?
jeremysgirl, it sounds very promising and I truly truly truly hope this is your job. You do whatever it takes to be gentle and loving to yourself. I'm sorry that things are difficult right now. You have friends here who are on your side. Thank you for your sweet words. That made me smile and blush.
sueg, enjoy your delicious meal. I hope you make it to the market tmw. How do you feel after your massage. Bliss.

I slept for a solid 8 1/2 hours last night ~ I was exhausted. I have a short appointment with the audiologist today. I finally got a call from the hearing aid department and have an appointment on 12/20 so I'll be getting hearing aids for Christmas. Dinner will be rechauffe of ham, macaroni salad, crunchy vegetable salad, sweet potato casserole, fruit salad and cheesecake for dessert. Big hugs for everyone at the table!

Happy Thursday dinner friends!
It's been a crazy week. Sending hugs, good vibes and prayers for all that need them. Everyone is carrying a load lately!
Dinner will be Gluten Free Chicken pot pie. I'm making two and taking one to a close friend that is watching her grandkids today, aged 6 months and 2 yrs. Her Son in-Law has been diagnosed with Testicular Cancer and is having surgery today. They are a beautiful caring family and need all of the support and help they can get.
Wishing everyone a great day ahead!

Happy Thursday!
Where did this week go? Not that I'm complaining, I've just got a very busy weekend and have a ton to do before then.
Today, I'm waiting for the plumber to come snake the bathtub drains. Drano isn't working so we had to go to the next step. It will be nice to take a shower without standing in water!
Tonight, my Seahawks are on Thursday night football so my dad will come over to watch. I'm going to make kielbasa, potatoes and onions and we'll have bread with it.
I'm glad today is fairly slow at work as I was up from about 3:30-6 this morning. I couldn't fall back asleep after going to the bathroom. Very frustrating!
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Woke up worked out, got ready for my hair appointment and look at my text that says appointment is 10/10 at 11:30 not at 10:10 like I had in my mind. Do I picked up and did a little laundry. Dh is talking about dinner out but I’m planning on going to TJs after my hair so I’ll be prepared to cook if need be. austnscrapaddict I hope her sil is ok after this.

austnscrapaddict, your friend's sil and family are in my healing thoughts. May all go very well. teddyw, we should go to dinner together tonight w/our new do's. I hope you get to go out if that's what you want to do. I watched the movie and the documentary and I'm convinced that the father was an animal, but I also wonder if the murders were a combo of money and abuse? I found it very sad.

It must be the day for hair appointments. I am getting a trim and more importantly a color. After that I am heading home and DH and I will be hitting the road to SC.
Dinner will be something on the road. Bucee's is usually about the time we need to get gas and a bathroom break so we will probably pick up a sandwich there.

He's 50 ... 6'1" ... balding ... has a terrible sense of style! . (I'll work on that!) He lives 12 minutes from me ... has a 9 year old son that he co-parents with his ex ... they are on good terms which is great! He has two very large dogs ... I love dogs! He treats me like gold and that's the most important thing!

Today I am going to spend a little time in the office. I am mostly caught up. Yesterday was my 3-week post op appointment. Everything looks good and I am healing well. I have another appointment in 3 weeks. At that time, I will get out of my brace and get signed up for physical therapy. In the meantime, status quo of no bending, no lifting, no twisting. I did get an x-ray and got to see what my new hardware looks like. It is 6 screws, a cage, and a titanium disc. If I am not the bionic woman after this..... Dinner tonight is baked potatoes with pulled pork (frozen convience) and a ceasar salad(bagged). After my appointment I convinced dh to take me to the grocery so I could pick out some fresh fruit and veggies. I have been missing those! jeremysgirl this job sounds very promising. I hope it works out in your favor. leannec he sounds very nice!!!

Hi everyone. Thinking of all with some struggles. Today is a day off for me. Dd3 popped over last night and spent the night and is working remotely today from our house. She met someone who lives about 2 hours away from her and I am in between. They have a date tonight so she’s leave here after work to see him. Last weekend he went her way. At the moment I am trapped in my room as she has an important video meeting and decided the kitchen was the best place for it rather than my office I’m not using. Oh well. Dinner tonight will be a new recipe- slower cooker white chicken chili. But I need dd’s meeting to end so I can get it going in the slow cooker. lol I’ll make cornbread probably to go with it. We will eat it while we watch Thursday night football- go hawks. I’m doing pretty well but my job is a lot. I actually considered going back to my old job (same agency) when there was an open position on the team and my precious supervisor reached out to me and said it was mine if I wanted it. There’s pluses and minuses to both for sure. I’m going a good job at my new job, but it’s just *a lot* and I don’t feel it’s worth it for my stress levels sometimes. But it is basically 99% remote which is really Important to me and my old job, while remote, has a fair bit of traveling as well and I really don’t want to do that anymore as traffic is horrible (I moved farther away from where I need to be for that job). So I’ll just stick this out some more - it has gotten better - but managing people is a lot.

Good afternoon...Well today was a dental cleaning...tomorrow is the haircut. I was contemplating letting the hair grow, however the in between stage is where it is at now...not quite long enough to put up...and I can't stand it...to much work..I know third world problems😱
Dinner is baked haddock, I took a chance and bought fish at Costco.....hoping it is OK. My Dad was a cook in a seafood resturant and always told us never buy fish anywhere but a fish market. My fish Market is on their annual 2 week break..so my options were limited.
Thinking of all the dinner Tribe that are suffering both physically and mentally (((HUGS)))

Just wanted to pop in and say hello! The brain is dead at this moment so I am just surviving. This is not to say I am a zombie, there is some humor here and there.
I am heading home to pack up and head up to see the kids this weekend. Dinner is going to be a Home Chef meal. Most likely Corn and Steak Strip Risotto. Haven't had this one and have no idea what it will taste like.
Good news is my family is ok from Hurricane Milton. They did have water up the front door. She had said they were 19 feet about sea level but I am assuming wind and surge was more than they thought would happen. My nephew said the floor was already lifting and warping.

Hi does anyone have any good dinner ideas? I am not eating keto until the new infection goes away. Maybe chicken breast, fresh corn, tomatoes, cucumber and coleslaw and a yellow carrot? That does seem reasonable.

(( hugs )) to everyone who needs 'em!
It's great to hear that Linda 's and naby64 's families are ok! leannec ....Oooh, I'm so happy for you...he sounds great! I had a bone density scan Tues, and was unhappily surprized that it hurt to lie the way that was required. I was wincing in pain, but thankfully, the test doesn't take very long. That reminds me, jeremysgirl ---you asked a few days ago if you should get a bone scan due to your sister's rheumatoid arthritis, and I really don't know. I have no idea how RA relates to bone density, I only know it can be VERY painful. I hope your sister is on good medication and not suffering. Oh man, I have yet ANOTHER headache starting, so I need to get off the computer. Alllll the other joints are starting to hurt, too. I neeeeed to exercise/ stretch, get the ice packs and the T.E.N.s unit out and hope all the pain decreases. Good times.

DS came home to pick up a few things. (he's away at grad school) He brought me lunch from Culver's because broccoli cheese soup was today. Now as he's gone, I feel how much I miss him full time 'round here. So I'm going down the street for a soul soothing banana (or chocolate?) malt. Not that I need an excuse but now I've got one so...😜
That should pretty much cover me for rest of day.
Hope all who need a hug feel better soon.

As someone who doesn't drink, it took me forever to find Marsala wine. I finally had to ask for help. I think it would be a challenge for wine drinkers, too. My bet is it is near the sherry or port, not with the regular wines. So I would be 100% shocked if I didn't at least get an interview. Me too, based on your awesome connections. Fingers crossed! The weather looks to be clearing, so hopefully we’ll be able to get out tomorrow - the newsletter in our room on arrival says there is a market near the train station, about a 15 minute walk, in the morning. Disappointing to know beautiful views are shrouded in gray today, but hopefully it lifts before tomorrow. I love poking through local markets. I'm making two and taking one to a close friend that is watching her grandkids today, aged 6 months and 2 yrs. Her Son in-Law has been diagnosed with Testicular Cancer and is having surgery today. Hoping it is surgery and NFT for them. Scary at any time, but especially challenging with babies in the house. Tonight, my Seahawks are on Thursday night football so my dad will come over to watch. Oh, now I'm excited. We will be cheering on the Hawks with you. After that I am heading home and DH and I will be hitting the road to SC. Safe travels! Hoping your family is doing okay. Everything looks good and I am healing well. Great news! So I’ll just stick this out some more - it has gotten better - but managing people is a lot. Managing people is a lot. I took a chance and bought fish at Costco.....hoping it is OK. I have my favorite market for fish, but don't hesitate to get wild Alaska salmon at Costco regularly. Popping in for an update from Linda. The girls made it through the storm safe and didn’t even lose power. Thank you! I am heading home to pack up and head up to see the kids this weekend. Enjoy the weekend. I really hope the break brings you joy. Good news...the bone density of my spine has INCREASED 9.3 % !!!! Wow, this is great news! It is a quiet day for me. Yoga, then a stop at the bank to deposit a check (cheque for us Canadians ) and my favorite farmers market store. Dinner plans were uncertain until I picked up sole and the herbs to make a soup.

TGIF!! Well, for me anyway. Only one more day to get through before I can relax for two days. karenlou I also have a hair appointment tomorrow. The salon rang me yesterday to say that my hairdresser (the owner) has COVID, and I could either choose to keep my appointment tomorrow with someone else, or try to get in with my stylist in a week or two. I opted to keep my appointment (because changing it would throw my other appoints between now and February out). I hope this other girl is okay, I have no idea who she is! jeremysgirl that all sounds very positive about the job you're applying for. leannec I am glad that things are going well with your new guy. I'm very glad to hear that Linda's girls are ok. DD and her partner came over for dinner. I made The Girl Who Ate Everything's Chicken in Basil Cream Sauce. It's one of our favourites, and I haven't made it for ages.
