really good interview today. I thought it was for a 6 month contract, but they're looking for someone full time so my assumption is it's contract to hire (which is fine by me). I really liked the team, they were nonplussed when my dog decided to serenade the entire neighborhood once we connected and the work is totally in my field. Also a significant pay bump. After 13 months of unemployment I am really excited today.
It's not what I thought my new gig would look like, but I would be thrilled to get it.
Update 10/11 - they just called and offered me the gig! After 13 months I'm officially back to work as of 10/28!!!!! even better, the salary is at the top of the range they had, I was thinking it would be more toward the middle.

Sending all the good karma I can for a new job for you. Would you be working from home? YES, that's one of the super exciting parts. I really enjoyed being hybrid in my previous job, especially as winter really kicked in. I hate driving in ice and snow and find it so depressing. The idea of not having to get out in it really helps with my anxiety. They're also mac based, which as a designer is a bit of a dealbreaker for me. I'm desperate enough to be willing to work on a PC, but that's also one of the factors that has me happy. |
