My voter’s pamphlet arrived in the mail. I think ballots go out on the 18th. It is THE BEGINNING OF THE END!
I think I may to add this disclaimer: I’m not assuming anything, and there is still plenty of work to be done (I personally have about 40 postcards to finish before the 15th, yikes)! Nor am I assuming we’ll know who our new President is on election night, and realize it could take a long time for the country to deal with the election results. But still!
I cannot wait for the constant barrage of texts to stop. It will be heavenly! How are y’all doing and dealing with it all?

I'm also in WA. I have my pamphlet, can't wait for the ballot.
Between the college ads (DD is a senior) and the voting ads, my mailbox is getting a workout, 99% of my mail is those two things.
If I never hear the names Joe Kent or Maria Glusenkamp Perez again, I would be very happy. They have taken over every ad I see on Youtube, as well as my mailbox.

My DH and I already voted and turned our ballots into the drop box. Like revirdsuba99, I don't trust DeJoy either!

Well, I miss getting mailed ballots for the convenience, but since I've moved to Texas, it's hard as hell to get an absentee ballot.
I will say there is something about going to a polling place and casting your vote in person.
And I love getting a sticker!

We typically vote early in person, so we’ll probably go sometime next week or the week after. It’s so much easier than fighting the crowd on Election Day.

Ballots arrived at the CA post offices on Monday and we got ours Wednesday.
Finishing up reading about the props and then plan to fill in my main in ballot this weekend.
I filter all calls and only answer to those I know (parents, sister, medical related).
Thankfully no texts and I have blocked a lot of people I follow to stop the political noise. They are all Democrats but it's still too much.
I always look forward to the darn TV commercials to be done with. And the litter of a bazillion stupid signs that go up around the city.
I can't stand political signs and how trashy it makes the city look.

I have my absentee ballot ready to mail. Mailing of absentee ballots is required here so no drop off.

I just took my stack of postcards to the post office this morning and my ballot is on the hall table waiting to be filled out and dropped off.
Living in a swing state, we are blasted with mail and tv ads. It will be nice to have that part over, but I wish I felt more positive about the outcome of the election.

I will be so glad when this election season is over. I get spam texts all the time. Many from different states. I block/delete/report as junk.
Our ballots showed up the other day. I need to read about measures and all that crap before I fill it in.

We got the voting guide as well. Super helpful since we recently moved to WA and don't know all the politicians.
Looking forward to casting my ballot for Kamala!

Welcome to WA state 👍🏻 as an aside, I’ve lived here since I was a kid and I don’t know all the politicians either. That booklet is super helpful! When I lived in WA, we used to sit down as a family and go through the booklet and then cast our votes. When DS was approaching voting age, we had him start to get used to the process and realize how important it was not only to vote, but to be aware of all of the issues and candidates. It instilled the importance of voting in him from an early age and he is a very responsible citizen.

It does feel good to vote. We mailed in our ballots toward the end of September. We tracked our ballots. They have been received and will be counted. We live close to Wisconsin and get a lot of their ads. When you keep your tv off you don’t notice it so much.

I don't know how you all cope through this long process. Here in the UKwe only get 6 weeks notice of an election and you can only vote 'in person' on election day or by post if you have registered to do so.
I've never been so anxious about a non- Uk election before. 😩

I love that WA now sends an “I voted” sticker! I missed that when we first started voting by mail.
I have to teach the morning after election day and I am reaaaaally hoping major races will be called by then.

I'm sure our mailman will also be glad when it is over. We get so much political junk mail. We got our guides weeks ago and our ballots this week and dh walked them to the big blue mailbox yesterday. Yes we still have a mailbox on our corner!

Our ballots arrived Friday. I’m not sure when the drop boxes open. I need to read through all the propositions and look to see when they open. I will drop off in person vs mailing them.
I hate seeing all the political signs, ads, spam calls and texts, mailers. I will be so glad to not hear any more ads. I wonder when we will know the results. I know TFG will announce he won on Election Day but hoping it’s not too drawn out for the real results. I thought the last election was anxiety producing but this is so much worse.
