scrappintoee. Not sure why I thought it was at a country club. Maybe it was because of the name of the place. But anyways, the wedding was at a lodge in the middle of the woods sort of. It was very pretty. There were geese and swans in the pond behind us, and it was just beautiful outside. And it was picnic food for dinner. Salad and roasted potatoes and green beans and hotdogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, mac & cheese, and barbecue chicken. it was all very good and the wedding cake was an Italian cookie wedding cake. Tradition in our families to have one of those. It was a lot of fun, but it was over an hour away.

leannec scrapmaven Tearisci And anyone else who watches "Love Is Blind". I've been enjoying this new D.C. season, but last night, I discovered another version "Love Is Blind Habibi". Many of the contestants speak multiple languages, which I love listening to (with sub-titles, of course). The other thing I LOVE about this and the others (Mexico, Brazil) is that they don't say "LIKE" every other word! And, no vocal fryyyyy like many of the Americans. That one cute couple in DC---the physicist and I can't remember what she does for a living-- they say LIKE so. many. times. in every sentence, I've had to mute them. I find it interesing that two highly educated professionals speak like that ?!!! Great minds think alike. The two educated contestants can't say more than 3 words w/o "LIKE". Does she have a Masters of like Chemistry or a Masters of Chemistry? I am always shocked that any of these people think this is a good idea. The statistics say otherwise. Then again, I'm like, skeptical of like, everything. Did I need the commas after the likes?
Jeremysgirl seems fine. I'll let her know that you are worried. (((((HUGS)))).
tmarschall, you're a very compassionate and empathetic mentor. That you are putting yourself aside in order to support a student in need speaks volumes about your level of compassion. This poor girl is in my thoughts for healing. What a horrible shock.

I wasn't able to post yesterday as it was crazy busy. Got my hair done which was nice and then we surprised my parents with relatives that are visiting from the PNW. I picked up my parents and as they were walking up the sidewalk at my sisters place, my cousin comes out and said "hey, where are the cards?" They were both so surprised! My cousins and my aunt will be here for 10 days so we'll get lots of time with them.
Today is our progressive brunch so I'll be getting ready for that and may not be around this afternoon.
Sending healing thoughts to all that need them.
Have a great day!
