I have used the free version of Evernote to track my craft inventory for years and love it. When they announced the new round of limitations on the free version last year I had a lot of things going on and didn't make any changes. Now I am trying to figure out which way to go forward.
Did you stay with Evernote and switch to a paid version?
Did you switch to something different? OneNote and Airtable are the two coming up the most in craft inventory searches but there are others.
Are you happy with what you are using now?
Thanks for any and all input!

I was using the paid version of Evernote but it just got way too expensive. If you’re a Mac user, I highly recommend the Bear App. I can do everything I did with Evernote in Bear. The only thing it doesn’t have are separate notebooks. To combat this, I created tags for each notebook. But Bear is free so it’s no biggie in my opinion.

I started with the color my life app on the iPad and I am getting my stamps and dies input. So far I liked it. I went ahead and did a year subscription.

I use Color My Life. It's $20/year and includes access to a phone app (iOS & android) and web version that sync together. I've been using since 2020 or maybe 2021. Love it. I recently emailed them and they mentioned in their response that adding custom categories is coming (category = product type). I'm looking forward to this so I can use it beyond paper crafting. I currently have DMC floss listed, but would like to also add felt (and what DMC floss matches each felt color, etc.). So many possibilities!

When Evernote changed, I tried other apps, but I couldn't do what I wanted the way I wanted. So I went back to Evernote and have the paid version. It's worth it to me because I use it a lot.

This YT video talks about using AirTable as a substitute. She’s talked more recently about a few changes she’s made to her set up but it sounds like it’s working well for her. Ardyth Percy-Robb on YT: youtu.be/ZOxvTf095-k?si=WLJCWsFGI8WBc66k

I've never used Evernote, but I have just starting cataloguing some of my supplies (stamps, dies, foil plates + embossing folders for now) using AirTable and so far I'm really happy with it. I'm just using the free version at the moment. I don't know if I will reach a point where I need to switch to paid, but for now I'm good.
I like that I can add all my data in, but then create an interface to make it much easier to conduct a visual search for what I need. And since my mum quite often borrows from my supplies, I really like that I can share it with her so that she can have access to searching for things as well.
Once I'm done with the somewhat mammoth task of cataloguing all my stamps + dies etc., I do plan on cataloguing a lot of my other non-consumable supplies. Perhaps even extend to my consumables in time as well.

I stayed with the paid version of Evernote because I have a huge amount that I've inventoried and didn't want to start over with a new app.

I've started to slowly enter my inventory in Color My Life. I like it so far.

Thanks for all the replies. I will check out Bear and Color My Life. joblackford, it was Ardyth's video that started me looking at AirTable.

I've stayed with Evernote's free version. It stinks that I had to delete it off of my laptop since they only allow it on 1 device now but I'm not willing to continuously spend $ on this or another app.
I don't have the option to add the item to a note anymore so I make sure to use tags for each item so it will show up in a search.

I changed to MS OneNote. I already owned it with my MS Office bundle. And I was sort of familiar with it since I used it before. And I refuse to pay a fee to use software. All my software is purchased and I own it (as much as you can with software).
I spent the time re-entering everything. But I don't think of it as wasted time because as I was going through it all, I weeded out a bunch of stuff that I didn't want or use anymore.
The one thing I miss about EN is that when you look up tagged word, all the items would appear with photos. In OneNote, a list appears but I have to click on each one to see the item. FWP for sure!

I use Color My Life, as well. It's been probably 5 years now and I still really like it. I do my inputting on the web version and use my phone app to search for what I have when I'm shopping or looking for a certain sentiment or ink colour or whatever. The price is decent, I don't mind paying $20 USD per year in order to prevent myself from buying duplicates.

I am glad to see this thread. I didn't realize I could use OneNote; I think I'll investigate it, as I already have it on my laptop for free. If anyone else uses it & would be willing to give me tips, I'd appreciate it. Feel free to PM me.

I am using the Color my Life app. I do not spend enough time organizing as I should, and I really should stop buying and start organizing but that has nothing to do with my feelings about the app lol
