Although I know his art (my grandpa was a fan, and also a cat person) I didn't realize how much we have in common! This place looks like a must-visit to me.

ETA especially loved the little bit about how he collected rusty old pieces of metal. I literally JUST bought an antique pail of old rusted things because I love them and use them in my art/displays. I've been known to make trips to the railroad tracks looking for rusty discarded spikes and things.
And the old games, and his cats, and all of it--this man was probably my soul mate 🤣

It was fun to see this today because I just bought a book of Edward Gorey postcards a few days ago. I'm hoping the USPS will come through with those stamps. That would be great!

Edward Gorey is a favorite at my house! Ds modeled the drawings he did in grade school after Edward Gorey's. They were so awesome.
