I am getting inspired by Cardtober to use some stamps that have gone to the bottom of the pile. This was a gift stamp with a purchase and I have never used it. Having a hard time since there's really nothing to color, unsure if it is really a silhouette style stamp, just kind of at a loss. What would you do with it? Thanks!! www.deepredstamps.com/products/winter-church-rubber-cling-stamp.html

It would be pretty with an ink blended background of lavender and dark blues like a nighttime scene. Yellow blended around the lamppost would be pretty. I can visualize it but wouldn't be able to pull it off!

I don’t have much experience with stamps like this but I do watch a lot of PB&J/Penny Black YT videos. I think you could treat it like a silhouette and stamp on a blended, watercolor washed, or smooshed background, or you could color the stamp in sections with ink cubes or brush markers (or I think she’s even used a paint brush with reinkers + a little water) youtu.be/AmhVYSHpq5Y?si=_SnfIvCFzBdilIRiI think you could also use a mask to create a border like these ones and stamp the image in the corner and add a big sentiment. youtu.be/7Bts3s68hE8?si=sSP6Hun7MPJE-R6oHer channel has lots of ideas for similar scene stamps.

That's a really lovely scene. I would maybe stamp & heat emboss with black on kraft cardstock. Then use some kind of snowy type medium to apply "snow" along the edges/border of the panel. Then maybe mount that on a kraft card front that's been embossed with a snow/winter/nature embossing folder. Maybe using the technique of inking the raised/embossed sections with white pigment ink.

Metallic or white emboss on a dark gradient background would look smashing.

This is a lovely stamp! I have no other suggestions, but really hope you’ll share what you come up with. We’re all a bit invested now!

Thanks everyone! I literally made notes and tucked them in with the stamp, plus bookmarked this page. I truly appreciate all the ideas! I tried and tried to add a photo to this message, but it says the forum is out of space. I will keep trying! angel97701 That's a great idea and since I love inking backgrounds, that is probably what I will do most with this stamp. peasquared Such a pretty idea-I had to give it a try. I visualized a ice castle, since it kind of looked like that when embossed. I tried for a celestial look, complete with the glow around the light. There's a lot going on but I like it! joblackford Thank you so much for the link! I subscribed to the channel-I can really see these videos giving life to my older stamps. I did the watercolor panel idea from her video, I don't have a stencil but taped off the edges with washi tape and then kind of stenciled over it. Not sure how much I like that, but I really like the way the watercolor church turned out. Ryann Kraft cardstock sounds like a fantastic idea, I will probably try that next! Embri I am going to try this with some metallic embossing powder, I agree I think it will look super nice. MichyM, will do!
