I’m not looking forward to getting my second shingles shot, I hear that one’s a doozy. I had both Shingles shots and didn't have any issues at all with either one! On Friday I got the extra strength flu shot and the Covid shot ( Pfizer). It's now Monday and my arm was never sore and no other symptoms at all ! I've never had issues with covid shots. My hubby gets a fever and gets 'confused' for a few days. I didn't know there was an extra strength Flu shot. Even though I got my shot last year, I ended up getting a severe case this past January. I was in the hospital for 4 days. The Dr's told me that it probably would have been worse if I hadn't gotten the shot. The pharmacist recommended the extra strength one.

It’s reassuring that so many haven’t had issues with their shingles shots. I didn’t have anything other than a sore arm with the first one, same as DH. But he felt pretty lousy for a day or two after his second one so I’ve been waiting until I can afford to be off my game for a couple days just in case.

I go the flu and Covid vaccines in the same arm a few weeks ago, and had no negative effects. My arm didn’t even hurt. I know a lot of people who got them in the same arm. I get mine through my job which is a hospital/health network. Unfortunately they won’t allow us to get them in the same arm because if there is a reaction they want to know which one caused it. I had nothing with my flu arm. My. Covid arm was quite sore. My father got both of his in the same arm. He asked whoever was giving it to him what was the difference, and she said do you want two sore arms or one. 😆. He decided on one, but his arm was really sore, much worse than it typically is. So he said he would not do that again. 😄. He typically doesn’t have a reaction to the Covid other than tired and maybe a little bit of a sore arm. That makes sense about using both arms. Luckily I've never had a problem with anything. I always choose my left arm, because I sleep on my right side. I want to at least sleep good if my arm hurts, lol. The key for me is to totally go limp when getting shots, no tension in any muscles seems to work good.

I felt like I had the flu after I got mine, lasted for a couple days. I took Motrin and it did help to relieve the symptoms. Still better than getting Covid in my opinion, hope you feel better soon!

Got both the same day. I wouldn't have gotten the covid booster if I wasn't getting the flu shot. Meaning, I wouldn't have made a special trip for it. I got Pfizer, no issues. People who have strong reactions should get the Novavax one. That one seems to be tolerated better for those who are immunocompromised so I assume it would be better for most. I don't know the efficacy rate though. They did sell off the vaccine (SIL works for them). They developed it and then decided not to produce it so they sold it off and cut their workforce by 80%. I know, more than you needed to know.
I got really sick with the second shingles shot. I also got sick with the intital covid shots (Moderna). I had read a lot of studies that said Pfizer is better tolerated so I started doing that with the 3rd shot.

I had both flu and Covid vaccines yesterday afternoon, so a bit more than 28 hours now. Covid was Pfizer - most common here in Germany - and I had both on the same arm as I can’t have vaccines in my left arm due to previous breast cancer and lymph node removal on that side. My arm hurt overnight and for most of today, but it seems to be getting better now. I’m high risk, due to the cancer (even though I’m clear now) and diabetes, so I get them every year. I really don’t have much choice - I had a regular appointment with my GP and she was ‘wait here. Do you have your vaccine pass with you?’ And then I was in the lab getting jabbed.

I’ve had no side effects other than a bit of soreness at the site.

My Doctor and I compromised on me not getting the flu shot but getting the pneumonia one since I have asthma. It’s a longer lasting shot.

I was fine for both flu and covid shots.
My husband had both in one arm because he is a side sleeper and chose the pposite side. He was fatigued the day after and had joint aches for 3 days. He recently had pertussis booster to protect our new grandchild and his arm ached on and off for a week.

I didn’t have any issues with the shingles shots either. On Saturday I’m getting the flu and Covid shot. How do they decide if you need the extra strength flu shot? I think it’s for 65 and over automatically. Maybe younger if you have compromised conditions.

I got both my flu shot and Covid shot yesterday around 10 AM and have had no issues. I got them both in the same arm, the arm opposite the one I sleep on. Maybe I was a little tired last night, but I slept good and no issues. Oh and I got the Pfizer Covid because that’s what I’ve gotten all along.

I need shingles too, should get it, but just cannot afford it.
