Hi everyone! I'm posting early because I will, of course, be going to Denny's for breakfast with my mum soon! My sciatic nerve on my left side kept me up almost all night ... so frustrating ... I'm living on Robaxacet and Advil ... took a hot bath just now and things feel pretty good ... hope it lasts! I met Molly's boyfriend last night and he is super sweet! I roped him into building a cat tree for my mum after dinner ... I always have small jobs around here that I need help with it seems! . I think he's a keeper! They are young though so you never know ... This is what I posted on Facebook today ... I do so much "peopleing" at work that I am reluctant to go to crowded places in the evening ... the event had better be super fun or I will take a pass! My mum will be coming over after bingo and will be here for dinner ... I have a Hello Fresh delivery coming so if there is something in there that she likes we will have that ... if not, it will be Beef Noodle Hamburger Helper! How is your migraine today scrapmaven? What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a relaxing Sunday everybody!

We have survived the night! I didn't sleep well nor did DH. But he has kept down some water and his yogurt. I am usually headed to church at this time but not this morning.
We have our Trunk or Treat this afternoon. I wore my inflatable dinosaur last year. I do know I scared a couple of kiddos. This year I am wearing an inflatable elephant. My upper body is not in the costume so that right there is a win. My claustrophobia almost won last year.
Dinner is unknown. Could just be toast.

Sorry about your sciatica leannec. I had it when I was pregnant and I laid just right. It is not fun. naby64 you know we need pics! I'm trying to finish another quilt today. I just started pinning, getting ready to sew. I'm going to make some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies this afternoon because Jeremy asked for them. I will make yellow lentil lettuce wraps for dinner with rice on the side. Have a happy day!

leannec, good meme. I hope that you can get comfortable and stay there for the rest of the day and night. Wishing you a much better night tonight. Thank you for asking about the migraine. It's going strong. It's duller now, cause I took a rescue med at bedtime, but it's gonna gear up. Mine last a few days, so I just have to wait it out, quietly. That's my day. Dinner will likely be rechauffe broccoli chicken for dh while watching football. Enjoy the day, my tribe.

The fish fry last night was delicious- deep fried pickerel, fresh cut fries, coleslaw and baked beans.
I need to get a few groceries today and then do nothing. I will get out for a walk and also take Walker for a walk. I did order one of the Leash harnesses and we used it yesterday. It’s a bit of a learning curve but I think it might work well.
Supper will be the beef stirfry that I didn’t make the other night.

jeremysgirl this was last year. I'll try and post one later tonight of the elephant. I was calling for my 2 grandpuppies and they were having nothing to do with Nana.

I’m not sure what dinner will be here. Maybe rechauffe mac and cheese or I may opt for a salad topped with chicken salad I made yesterday with some of the rotisserie chicken I bought Friday.
Ally spent the night and we’re bringing her home in a little while. I have laundry going and have been doing a bit of cleaning. Exciting times here!

I bought an inflatable gnome costume to wear at work Thursday. I can’t wear it all day for many reasons…I’ll be a puddle of sweat after 15 minutes! I’m looking forward to it just because it’s so silly. I’m also planning to stop to surprise Ally and her Mom before they head out for trick or treating!

leannec - I am so sorry you are suffering with sciatica - I has issues with it during both pregnancies, and again when I had severe uterine fibroids and it was the worst! Sunday began as normal, but a bit early. It was 'turn back time' weekend in Europe, so even though we tried to stay up late last night, we still woke early. While Dh went to the bakery to get our Sunday breakfast treats (whatever pastries catch his eye - today was chocolate croissant and raison snails), I chopped veggies and started to turn the beef stock I made yesterday into delicious minestrone for lunch (and beyond). After Mass, DH retrieved the Halloween decorations box from the cellar and I googled pumpkin templates. We now have a lovely carved pumpkin with a flying witch, and a table centerpiece of small pumpkins, skulls and lots of spiders of all sizes. Now that I have seen what else is there, I will make a trip to the party shop near my doctor's office tomorrow and pick up a few more things, as well as bags of candy. Our pumpkin Dinner here tonight is steak. I'm not sure what else, as that's DH's job tonight. Maybe potatoes, probably vegetables.

Happy Sunday! Another 90 degree day here. So ready for Fall to show and stick around! However, the raised bed garden is loving it and going crazy.
Today I'll spend the afternoon with DH then come home and start getting ready for Quilt Festival. I have a class from 2-5 tomorrow afternoon, as well as a class Tuesday from 9-5. Neither one requires a lot of supplies which is good. Wed. afternoon I check in for my day retreat for one.
We have found a facility for DH that we are trying to have him moved to. They need to visit him and do an assessment tomorrow so fingers crossed that they will take him. It's a step below skilled nursing but a step above assisted living. Very nice facility that is at most a mile from DD's apartment. She walks to that area all the time with her dog. The beauty of this place is that while they do have PT and OT there, you are allowed to bring in your own people as well. This will allow DH to utilize he therapist/trainer he's had for 3 years (she brought him back from Delta Covid) and to set the pace that works best with his MG. So any good thoughts and/or prayers for this to work out for him would be most appreciated!
Absolutely no idea (once again) what is for dinner. Last night it was a frozen pizza. Will shoot for something a bit healthier tonight.

I am just back from my walk, and my 5th load of laundry is in the drier.....How 2 people can produce so much dirty laundry is beyond me....Of course one load was towels and one other bed linen.
DH had been at Todds Farm(a huge flea market) since 5am...I hope to god he sold some of his s__t..Oh, I mean "stuff" !! The house is so quiet 😊 I am working tonight so I will have a snack...probably rechauffe fish chowder and try for a nap.
GypsyGirl...thinking good thought that this plan works put for DH❤️ naby64...That is Freaking Hilarious!!!! No wonder the dogs wouldn't come!!!!

Well done on the pumpkin carving, sueg! I stopped carving pumpkins years ago when I realized I was the only one interested in doing it, but mostly because the carved pumpkins barely lasted 24 hours before rotting out in our warm fall weather. All the positive energy heading your way that the next step plan for your DH gets put in place as you've laid out, **GypsyGirl**. I made the worst pumpkin peanut butter chocolate chip bread yesterday. It came out as thick and dense as a doorstop and no one is interested in eating it. I am so, so disappointed because I was really looking forward to this treat but think it might slip it into the trash for tomorrow's pick up. I don't think I've ever had such a baking fail and just wanted to tossed a treat like this before. I'm debating whether to put some purged crafting items up on Buy Nothing or just donate them. Or offer them to a friend whose DD has a selling side hustle. I don't have a problem with her making money because I have zero interest in putting any effort into it myself. My beloved yoga studio is closing next week so I'm going to their last soundbath this afternoon and expect tears to be flowing. My dinner plan was to make chili and nachos but the men went hunting and came back with tri tip and plans to grill. That sound like dinner to me, but DH said to stick to my plans and his will be an appetizer.

I hope that facility works out for you **GypsyGirl**I’m super tired for no reason and I have a migraine. So do my 2 pregnant DDs. Must be atmospheric. Although dd1 had an aura at the Ohio state game yesterday but had no way of leaving unfortunately I’m undecided on dinner. I’ve already carved 2 pumpkins for the conservatory display. I have 7 to do for trick or treat. I love doing it. Like your family bc2ca mine doesn’t either. If my migraine clears I’ll start tonight. I also have a ton of battery operated ones that I mix in. No one else on my street even has a pumpkin. There’s zero Halloween here.

Hi everyone ~ just arrived home from the crop. As usual it was fabulous and I slept so well all three nights ~ at least 8 hours! Now to unpack everything and get organized. Tonight the 9ers play at the same time as the Warriors so that will be interesting. I'm thinking Teriyaki Chicken for dinner. Big hugs to everyone not feeling well or having aches and pains.

Love the meme leannec ! That's how I felt after my busy weekend. naby64 that dinosaur costume is hilarious! I hope you can share a photo of the elephant costume. scrapmaven and teddyw , I'm sorry you're both dealing with migraines. I watched my dad suffer with them for years. Just awful. **GypsyGirl** I hope your husband is able to get into that facility - it sounds perfect for his needs! bc2ca are you going to look for a new yoga studio? I am just back from my walk, and my 5th load of laundry is in the drier.....How 2 people can produce so much dirty laundry is beyond me....Of course one load was towels and one other bed linen I'm hearing ya! DSO did SEVEN loads of laundry on Saturday. One load was my whites, and one was DSO's and my other washing. The other five loads were DS's, who is an apprentice carpenter. DSO decided to clean out DS's car for him. He brought everything inside and plonked it on the couch. It looks like half of his wardrobe was in there, and I finally discovered all of my missing Tupperware, and worked out why my fork drawer was almost empty. This wasn't even all of DS's clothes that had to be washed, there was also a heap that was on his bedroom floor. (The curtains in the background are tied up because we were dog sitting DD's new puppy, and he kept chewing the curtains.)

We had a late lunch (3pm) at the gig on Sunday afternoon, so we didn't really want dinner. When we got home from the gig at about 6:30pm, we had a cup of tea and a custard tart. Nice healthy dinner - not! I had some toast a few hours later when I got a bit peckish.

I ate breakfast late (noon), followed almost immediately by lunch, followed by a bit (ahem) of See’s candy … so now surprise, surprise … I’m not hungry for dinner! But I’ll be making refried beans and New Mexican rice anyway, because I need to take them over to the gentleman friend’s house tomorrow, along with the remaining barbacoa for tacos. He’s been laid up for a couple of weeks with a bad knee, and I want to carb him up just because it makes my Jewish mother’s heart happy. Hilarious meme, leannec. naby64, LOVE the dinosaur costume, and sueg, your pumpkin looks very professional. I’m impressed. **GypsyGirl**, I’m glad things are moving along for DH. Hope he is settled and comfortable in the new place soon. So sorry about people’s ailments. scrapmaven, leannec, teddyw and if I missed anyone, my apologies. Thinking of you all.

bc2ca are you going to look for a new yoga studio? Yes, but this one was pretty perfect for location, times, cost and classes/teachers and I'm having trouble giving letting it go. So many of the other local studios are full of classes called "power" or "sculpt" and hot while I want "gentle", "slow" or "restorative" at room temperature. I'm balancing one that has a good option at noon (not ideal) with another that a current favorite teacher is going to infiltrate and offer what she is teaching now. Both will be more expensive.

lucyg, any Jewish mother worth her weight in Kosher salt would make enough food to feed her loved ones and an army. teddyw, I'm sorry to hear that both you and your pg dds are dealing w/migraines. Can they safely take any meds for their headaches? When I have auras I just know to hold on for the ride. Gentle ((((HUGS)))). **GypsyGirl**, I will think all of the best thoughts that your dh is moved to the other facility and can have his regular PT/OT. The three of you have been through way too much. leannec, I hope that you sleep well tonight w/o pain.

Hi all!
Just another quick check-in. DS and I had a fun weekend with lots of movies and football. Today, we're going for lunch and pedicures. I'm also going to vote today and get that out of the way. Dinner tonight will probably be at a new Italian place that opened up down the street and then football tonight. He leaves tomorrow so I took today and tomorrow off to hang out.
Hope all is going well with everyone and I hope to get a chance to read the threads to catch up!
