No, presidents need to earn the respect. Trump never did. He referred to Mexicans as rapists and murderers, bragged about grabbing women by the pus&y, criticized a decorated war hero etc all before he was even in office. He never earned the respect of the office and deserves the same amount of respect that he gives to Mexicans, women, decorated war heroes (who are also suckers and losers according to him)and others. In addition, he violated the constitution and his oath of office by trying to overturn the results of an election. No, he most certainly does not deserve respect.

I was floored when Trump beat Clinton. I honestly didn't think he even had a chance then. I sincerely hope he doesn't win, but I'm not sure.

The person you are calling an idiot is a past President of the United States. No other country would ever speak about a leader in this fashion, even if they did not like him. Being disrespectful is nothing to be proud of. You could ask your question with a degrading remark about someone this country elected. You do not have to like him, however, you really missed some key life lessons while growing up. Let us know when you start complaining about how Trump and his campaign speak of the current president and vice president of the United States. To say nothing of how they speak about the past president and his wife, lord help us. Do you support Trump’s threat to use the Justice department and even the military to go after his political opponents and others who don’t support him? Voters, campaign donors? We are all scum in his eyes. But you expect us to show him the proper respect.

I was brought up that an individual, no matter who they are, has to earn one’s respect by their words and actions. And as the idiot has shown he has absolutely no respect for the American People time and time again, he is getting exactly the same amount of respect from me. And that’s none. What dumpster don has done is tarnish the office of the President of the United States of America. As such he does not deserve the respect of any American who cares for this country.

Trump really showed respect for elected official last night in Arizona. He called Biden a bastard. He recommended a firing squad for Liz Cheney. Yes, some real respect right there.

I am sincerely sorry for anyone who voted for him, you'll be judged - I have no doubt.

I apologize if this has been posted already (I haven't been on in quite a while) but I find these stats to be very comforting that Harris will win. Early voting statsI've been watching for about a week or so. Gen X FEMALES have been early voting like crazy. Go look at Georgia. I think we are the citizens most bothered by the GOP and their women hating agenda so we are speaking our loudly.

I might be naive but I hope there are more decent, normal people in the country than the MAGA crowd. They’re just louder and trashier so they stand out but the rest of us just staying quiet and showing up to vote will have a huge impact. I don't think it will be close. I'm expecting a big blue blowout. Your mouths to God's ears. I don't know what to think. The polls and the gambling lines favor Trump, but I can report that the early voting place was full and it was mostly women. Young people, especially women, are energized more than they were for Biden. A lot of former Trump supporters are disenchanted with him but either won't tell their Trumper friends that they're voting for a "libtard" or they'll leave the president blank on their ballots. I hear someone say, "If someone spit on Jesus, Trumps followers would say he deserved it." I should have realized during CoVid how many stupid people are out there, but I had no idea.

Have you somehow missed all the times Trump has made fun of and called names of not only senators and representatives HERE, but also made fun of leaders of other countries? When have we ever had a president that did that?? Even if you somehow missed all that, where have you been this election cycle? Even the past few weeks. Are you that outraged when he calls Harris stupid, not that smart, a sleazeball, and all the other nasty things he has called the sitting VP of the US? Were you that outraged a week or two ago when he, a former president of the United States said at a rally in AZ that the US is the garbage can of the world? What other former president has ever done that? God, the double standard is strong here.

Or this one rubrinkerTrump’s mental state continues to deteriorate, taking with it the former president’s inhibitions. After going on a rant about the people he blamed for troubles with his microphone at a sparsely attended rally in Warren, Michigan, the Republican nominee for president of the United States of America simulated oral sex on stage. An official with the Harris campaign told reporters today that they “fully expect” Trump will replay the game plan of 2020 and claim victory on election night, before all the votes are fully counted.
====================
I am pretty speechless at how vulgar he has become.

Trump never brought dignity, respect, integrity or honor to the White House. He never took his oath or position seriously and just used it to line his own pockets. He does not deserve respect.
For former West Wing fans, they really knocked this out of the park

So in this hour's hopium update. There is a pollster in Iowa that everyone considers the gold standard, Ann Seltzer. She just released her latest polling. On the backs of older, women voters Harris 47 - Trump 44 👀. It's setting off shockwaves, coming after Nate Silver's blog about "Are pollsters herding their polls?", not sharing the real numbers for fear of being wrong. Overrepresenting Trump after two cycles of under-representing. Safer to just release numbers indicating it's a tight horserace, pollsters won't get punished as badly. Not that long ago there was a poll out of Kansas that had Harris within 5 pts. Not state flipping, but if it's that close in Kansas and Iowa is it really a knife's edge in WI, AZ, NV, PA, GA? www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/politics/iowa-poll/2024/11/02/iowa-poll-kamala-harris-leads-donald-trump-2024-presidential-race/75354033007/?taid=6726b04e9f4c2f0001a5598d&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter
