I guess I am the lone voice of dissent. I bought a sofa and loveseat 2 years ago, that I am still paying off. It is supposed to be leather and there is already some decent issues with the "leather" that shouldn't be happening if it is truly is leather. The mechanics of it are good and it is comfortable though. That's a bummer! I wonder if the quality of their sofas has deteriorated.

I’ll be sure to keep a close eye on our recliner was as the warranty comes up. We also paid for them with our Amex which doubles the manufacturer warranty. We didn’t opt for the extended warranty. Too many negative reviews. Dh read thru the terms and said he didn’t feel it was worth it. Sounds like you went ahead and made your purchase. I hope you enjoy the furniture for a very long time to come.

We did…so fingers crossed they hold up at this point. It is just dh and I, so they won’t go thru the rugged us they might get if the kids were still little.

We had a leather La-Z-Boy recliner that held up great for about 15 years. I would definitely buy another one.

DH had a La-Z-Boy “Big Man Chair” that lasted a good number of years. He liked it a lot and wanted to replace it with the same type of chair. I don’t think the last one even made it five years before literally falling apart. Sad to say but I think unless you’re buying something very high end from somewhere like Borofka’s or something else Amish built, most of what is out there today is particle board crap.
