My all-time favorite is the dreaded pineapple and ham pizza. Ha, I was actually going to ask whether people like pineapple on their pizza - it seems to be a very controversial thing! FWIW, I like pineapple on pizza. I like my pizzas to be a bit fancy, but every now and then I love a good Hawaiian with ham, cheese, and pineapple. Too bad we live on opposite sides of the globe....we'd be good friends if we were closer. As you know, I love anchovies on my pizza. And I also love a good ham and pineapple pizza, which is definitely controversial here. Even my pineapple-loving husband won't agree to it on a pizza. Which is actually okay with me because that means I get my own pizza and he won't sneak pieces of it when there are leftovers.

Also, I've never heard of salmon on pizza, not around here. But of course that doesn't mean it doesn't exist somewhere. Plus, as you said, anything could go on pizza.

I've never had salmon on a pizza and I don't think I'd like it.
When I was in Japan, I ordered a pizza and I think it had octopus on it because it was so chewy and gross!
My pizza claim to fame was having a pizza named after me at my friend's pizza parlor!

I've never had salmon on pizza but I'd try it. When I was in college there was a place that offered oysters on their pizza. I never had it, but I'd probably like it. I like anchovies on pizza. That place also had a parmesan artichoke pizza that was to die for. My usual order at a "normal" pizza place is pepperoni, mushrooms, and banana peppers. Donato's had a Hawaiian pizza I like- ham, pineapple, slivered almonds, and cinnamon. I love the addition of almonds and cinnamon. Donato's also has a pepperoni and hot honey pizza that is very good. We have a lot of wood fired oven places around here and I love wood fired pizza- thin crust and crispy on the edges. My favorite one of those I ever had had pears and gorgonzola on it. Lovely- unfortunately they stopped offering it. I really like pesto pizza, too. I like white pizzas- not a fan of tons of marinara.
I am not a fan of cheap thick cheese pizza with 2 slices of pepperoni on it. I don't hate it, just, why bother?

yeah, salmon on pizza isn't really a 'thing'; you're not going to find it at Papa John's or Pizza Hut. But at a 'boutique' style pizza joint? Sure, it may be there. That's not to say that I'm eating it; I'm not.

So I'm sitting here watching House Hunters International, and this episode has a woman looking for a house in Amsterdam. The American 'relocation specialist' who is helping her find a house was telling her that when she first moved to Amsterdam, she was craving pizza. She bought what looked like a margarita pizza, but when she started cooking it, smelled fishy. She said, with a look of pure disgust on her face, "It was a salmon pizza, that doesn't even exist in America!" I refuse to believe that salmon pizza doesn't exist in the US. Tell me it's not true! I mean, anything you like can go on a pizza! Following on from that, what are some of your favourite pizza toppings? Some of my favourites: Smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, red onion
Lamb, pumpkin, goat cheese or feta, pine nuts Anything with anchovies..... lots and lots of anchovies so I get a bit in every mouthful Last night we had pizza, and I ordered one of my favourites: Bacon, Cheese, Chicken, Chipotle Sauce, JalapeΓ±os on puff pastry. Yum! I'm gonna have to say (for me) I have never heard of any of those toppings for pizza except bacon, cheese, chicken, jalapenos and anchovies. And does not sound good to me.. lol... I'm a plain cheese or extra cheese and pepperoni (sometimes sausage) pizza gal. I don't stray to far. My second favorite is Bacon/Chicken/Ranch. yum yum. After reading comments... I do like my pizza thin. NO pineapple, but I don't like pineapple in general unless it is a mixed drink.. and yes some of those items I probably have seen on a fancy place serving pizza... I was thinking of just our regular old take out type places.

Iβve never seen salmon as a pizza topper here, nor most of the other things listed in the OP. Iβm pretty basic when it comes to my pizza. I like red sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella, mushrooms. There used to be an Asiago pizza with bacon (regular breakfast bacon, not Canadian bacon) that we used to get at a pizza place DH and I worked at that was good. I used to like sausage or sausage and mushrooms but now sausage doesnβt like me so I canβt eat it anymore. I donβt like any kind of vegetables on it that get soft and disgusting once cooked like peppers, onions or big chunks of tomato.

Smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, red onion Iβve never heard of salmon on pizza, but DAMN if that doesnβt sound delicious! Does it have anything else? Olive oil, any other cheeses? Is the cream cheese acting as both the sauce and the cheese?

I've never heard of salmon on pizza but I'd eat it in a heartbeat. AussieMeg - I've also been scared to enter the pineapple controversy, because one of my favourite combinations is anchovies with pineapple. I just love the very salty with the very sweet together in the same mouthful. I'm not going to tell anyone else to try it though. Your pizza = your choice, the same as my pizza = my choice. I don't want meat or red peppers on my pizza.

Salmon or lamb isnβt a common U.S. pizza topping but independent (non-chain) pizza places may have them. Personally, salmon pizza sounds delicious to me.

I'm in NY. We do not have salmon on pizza.
If you are going to get "fun" toppings, most popular if you walked into a pizza place here for a slice would be penne a la vodka, chicken cutlet, sausage & peppers, eggplant parm... Nothing with fish.

Any kind of fish on a pizza doesn't sound appealing to me. I'm not a big seafood person in general, so there's that. Pepperoni and pineapple is my go-to. I like to drizzle Mike's hot honey on top. So good! Me too! Pepperoni and pineapple. Never heard of salmon on pizza. Guess you can put anything on it, but I am not that adventurous.

When it starts getting into the salmon/cream cheese area I usually see that called flatbread vs pizza. Andβ¦I love it.

Okay, I was sure that I would have multiple Peas come on and tell me that "Of course we have salmon on pizza here, what was that woman on TV thinking?!" Too bad we live on opposite sides of the globe....we'd be good friends if we were closer. OMG, could you imagine how much we'd eat together? How much weight I'd put on, if you lived near me? yeah, salmon on pizza isn't really a 'thing'; you're not going to find it at Papa John's or Pizza Hut. But at a 'boutique' style pizza joint? Sure, it may be there. That's not to say that I'm eating it; I'm not. I thought for sure Pizza Hut here would have a salmon pizza, but they don't. My local pizza shop has not one, but two salmon pizzas on offer: DarvidsIβve never heard of salmon on pizza, but DAMN if that doesnβt sound delicious! Does it have anything else? Olive oil, any other cheeses? Is the cream cheese acting as both the sauce and the cheese? My local pizza place has two salmon pizzas available: Smoked Salmon - Tomato Sauce, Capers, Smoked Salmon, Cheese, Baby Spinach, Spanish Onion, Garlic Sauce, Fresh Herbs Atlantic - Smoked Salmon, Capers, Mushroom And Baby Spinach In A Cream Sauce If I make one at home, I put a really thin layer of tomato based sauce on the base, then I usually spread the cream cheese on top of that. Then add red onion, capers, smoked salmon, and some kind of green (dill or spinach).

I like ALLLL the veggies on my pizza. Even eggplant! I'd even try nopales on pizza, even though I don't really care for them otherwise. When I was a kid and ate meat, I loved ham and pineapple on my pizza.

I have never seen a salmon pizza near me. Or pumpkin on a pizza. I like the basic ingredients: sausage, pepperoni, green pepper, mushroom, onions. A newish flavor of pizza by me is Dill Pickle. It has a white garlic sauce, dill pickles and mozzarella cheese. I would love to try it but DH doesnβt like pickles so I have to find someone else who wants to try. I just made a pizza recipe I saw on fb last week that used pumpkin. They were amazing!, Naan bread as crust pumkin purΓ©e mixed with oregano as sauce carmelized onions sausage ricotta cheese Fontina cheese sage leaves rubbed with olive oil Bake till cheese melts then drizzle with hot honey. My regular pizza order is thick crust, sausage, onion, mushroom, banana pepper and pineapple. The sweetness of pineapple is perfect with the sour of the banana peppers.

No salmon toppings in my area that I know of. I love salmon but probably not on a pizza. I love pepperoni, cheese, onion, pineapple, peppers, olives, mushrooms, garlic. No to anchovies unless on my Caesar salad.

Oh I used to love Pizza Nova - their Thai chicken pizza. I was thinking that salmon would work on a good fire roasted pizza. I like pineapple on pizza if in the mood. We usually get a meat lovers pizza but I love different varieties. One of my favorites locally is a jalapeΓ±o lime carnitas wood fired pizza. Now I want pizza.

I just made a pizza recipe I saw on fb last week that used pumpkin. They were amazing!, That sounds AH-MAZE-ING!! I'm saving that idea to make next time we do home-made pizza. I bought some gnocchi and pumpkin yesterday, to make a dish that uses pureed pumpkin as the base for the gnocchi, with garlic confit, broccolini, asparagus, parmesan, and pine nuts. I've had it a couple of times at a restaurant and it was divine. Oh I used to love Pizza Nova - their Thai chicken pizza. That reminds me of another of our favourite pizzas, to make at home - shredded rotisserie chicken mixed through my home made Thai peanut sauce, and then whatever other toppings you want.
