Nothing to see here, I’m sure. Texas Sec of State sent a letter to the DOJ saying that state law prohibits federal monitors in polling places and where votes are being counted.

Elsewhere, DeSantis made a statement that the same is true in Florida.
Is this allowed in a federal election? Can states really keep out federal monitors? Regardless, it stinks to high heaven. What could they possibly have to hide?
ETA: the Feds send monitors to Texas every election and no one has mentioned any law prohibiting it. This is very shady. I hope the Biden admin will put its foot down.
