Is anyone else following this case? I've been observing for years the struggle the defence team have been having with what appears to be a very biased judge and either incompetence or malice in the part of LEO.
The secrecy around the trial is painful. I'm listening to Andrea Burkhart break down of what happened in the court each day as the Judge has everything completely locked down. The bias against the accused is painful to listen to- Nancy Grace breezed into court for a whole 10 minutes of the prosecution case then had Allen guilty as charged in her programme that night.
My heart is breaking for the families in the court room listening to the incompetence and downright lies from the police. Allen's wife also. It seems some of the jurors ( who are sequestered) are picking up on the inadequacy of the prosecution case, given the very pointed questions they have been asking witnesses.
I'm going to say it- I think they have the wrong man. The artists impressions ( disallowed into evidence by the judge) don't fit him, plus he's the wrong age and height, the contradictory testimony from people who supposedly witnessed 'bridge guy' ( not only from witness to witness, but contradiction of their own prior statements ) the loss of early interviews, reports from the chief investigating officer Mullins who didn't even date many of his reports and the aggressive Reid technique interviews of Allen. No DNA, how did one person control two teenage girls and How did he supposedly move Libby's 200lb body with no drag marks? That suggests two people or more carried her, surely?
I don't trust the confessions given after this man was kept in the most appalling conditions. He gave incorrect evidence about the murders ( such as shooting the girls in their backs) - until a psychologist worked with him who just happened to be a true crime fan who was researching the case online. He also confessed to other murders such as killing grandchildren he doesn't have.
The way the bodies had sticks placed on their bodies and the fact the judge completely banned the mention of Odinism despite several prosecution witnesses opening the door to it. I could go on and on.
Is there anyone local to this on this group?
I mean no disrespect to the families of Abby and Libby. The families I'm sure they want the guilty party/parties put away for this. Local LEO got rid of FBI involvement as soon as they started to look into the electronic evidence gathered and inadequacies in the investigation- why wouldn't you want every help you could get, especially if it was your first murder investigation as it was for Mullins!
