Hi everyone! This will be short because my mum is on her way over to go to Urgent Care with me ... I seem to have an infection in my foot, my sinuses and a few welts on my back! I feel like crap! Need antibiotics I guess! I totally feel like an old woman today. This is what I posted on Facebook ... No idea about dinner ... can't even think about it. What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a great Saturday everybody!

Oh no, leannec . Sounds like you need antibiotics, STAT. I hope that they can give you oral antibiotics and send you home and that you feel much better, quickly. I'm thinking of you. I was given a reprieve and sent home in the late afternoon. They gave me loads of loopy drugs and knocked the headache back to being managable. I'm much better, w/touches of the headache here and there. It's an intractable migraine which can last a couple weeks. So, next step is to find a headache specialist who can provide treatment that works at home when this happens. scrappintoee, I hope that you're feeling much comfier today and can go have some fun. It's been so great to hear that you're getting out and doing things that you enjoy. KelleeM , Big, Squishy ((((HUGS)))). I hope that your spirits lift and that you'll enjoy a fun holiay season w/your dgd. karenlou is a kind, giving, thoughtful lady and she's just a good egg. I'd tell you, KelleeM that you have the best sister, but I love my sister the way you love yours. The Birdhouse Lady , who would have thought that cleaning a bathroom could be a happy thing? It can when you've been in so much pain. I'm glad that you're healing well. AussieMeg , thank you for the link to the bottle cap puzzle. I'm so pleased to see that Lana has done so well w/her art. She is very talented. If I forgot anyone, I'm sorry. I'm still restless and loopy. Weeeeee. Kids, don't do drugs. I'm way too loopy to operate heavy machinery, so ds will pick up takeout after his shift at the antique store. He has a space and once per month he spends a day there. It can be a nice side income for a teacher. May today bring healing for those peas in need and happiness w/R&R to all.

leannec - that doesn’t sound good. Is it some sort of allergy, do you think? I hope UC can give you some relief. It’s been a pretty quiet day here. Grocery shopping early, though we didn’t need a lot as we’re fairly well stocked and DH is off to Barcelona until Thursday tomorrow. He also did a hardware store run to get more planting mix, so we planted out another few planters of bulbs to bloom in spring. This afternoon has been football (currently 3-0 ahead) and knitting (just finished a pair of fingerless mitts for me) Dinner will be out. It is our anniversary during the week but DH won’t be home on the day. We’re going to our favourite Greek restaurant, which is just a 15 minute walk. I am thinking of getting a moussaka to take away as well as our meal, so I don’t have to cook tomorrow.

leannec that does not sound good. Hope they get you on something that will get you on the road to recovery soon. scrapmaven glad you got a little bit of relief even if it is due from the drugs. Today is quiet. I was planning on going to the grocery store but I have been left without a vehicle. DH is at work and ODS asked to use our other vehicle since his is being worked on. Not a big deal. Gives me an excuse to watch football this afternoon. Our kids gifted us family pictures as an early Christmas gift. It has been 9 years and 3 grandkids ago since we had them done. I am really excited. It is a sunny day and temps are cool but doable. My only concern is getting them done by sunset. DH and I will probably stop for dinner after pictures.

leannec that sounds like a job for iv antibiotics. Take good care today. scrapmaven I have a headache but not a migraine. It’s just annoying. I am meeting my friend to go to a craft fair at the mall. We are then having lunch at a nice restaurant and then later are going to IMAX. Dinner tonight could be something light. Last night’s dinner was truly amazing.

leannec I hope you’re seen quickly and are feeling better soon! scrapmaven I’m glad you didn’t have to spend too long in hospital. Headaches are bad enough. I’m sorry anyone has to endure migraines. Dinner will be home made chicken noodle soup. Yum!

Weird leannec! All three of those things seems odd together. I hope you get some answers and treatment. And aren't you lucky to have the comfort of your mom? I missed the whole end of the thread last night. I don't know if I have the brain power to go back and read it. Haha...sometimes my mind feels overwhelmed by certain things. This message board can do it to me. I'm hoping that you start to feel better scrapmaven. I've been worried about you. ❤️ sueg did you do those gloves start to finish today? I'm *still* working on the knit scarf. It's pretty slow going. I know that I don't have the comfort and skill level with knit but I feel like all skills equal crochet is faster. I'm going to make this black eyed peas tonight with greens and sweet potatoes. Unless Jeremy demands something different. I've finished reading Alice In Wonderland this morning and I'm nearly half way done with Through the Looking Glass. It's one of my poster books. I have never seen any Alice production or read anything beyond a children's picture book. So this is a new experience for me. I'm finding it whimsical and imaginative. Hard to believe Carroll was a mathematician by trade.

Glad the migraine is now manageable scrapmaven . Did they reset your device yet? leannec , I hope they can fix you up quickly. That does not sound good. Glad your mom is with you. We slept late and walked at the Town Center. When we walked behind the pool where I do AquaFit, I felt like I was playing hooky. There weren't very many there and it was cold and slightly raining. Dinner will be split pea soup with the ham bone from the Honeybaked we bought in October. My car clock is actually very easy as is my oven.

jeremysgirl - no, I didn’t knit them completely today! I actually made one this time last year and started the second, then it got too cold for fingerless mitts, so I put them aside for other projects. When I finished my shawl on Thursday, I decided to tackle my WIPs, and these were closest to finished. All I did today was the hand above the thumb separation and the thumb. Pics tomorrow on the craft thread, as it was dark when I finished them.

DH and I went to grandson #2’s hockey game this morning, then I walked to the local high school to go to a craft sale. I didn’t buy anything. I am really trying to downsize and not collect stuff that I don’t need.
Supper tonight will be grilled chicken, baked potatoes, chipotle coleslaw and a veggie.

I don't like the progression of your symptoms, leannec. Glad to hear you are getting someone to look at it. Also glad to hear you are home, scrapmaven. Hoping your new ologist can come up with an at-home treatment if it happens again. I'm having a super slow morning and have one little project to take care of before heading out to meet a friend for lunch and wander through our favorite home decor store. They are in full holiday mode and always have plenty of little delights as well as plenty of things outside my budget. The men are in charge of dinner and based on the conversation I overheard they are making burgers.

Happy Saturday! leannec I hope you can get fixed up by Urgent Care! scrapmaven Glad the headache is doing better. I ran some errands with my sister this morning and then we went to lunch at a new Italian place that just opened. it's the second new-ish Italian place so we hoped it was good. It wasn't. My lasagna was very flat and look like it had been microwaved. My sister pizza wasn't very appetizing looking either. Like they didn't make it in house. It was pretty expensive for what it was too so we'll stick with the other Italian place in town which is very good. I'm thinking I might do Thai tonight. it's next to Trader Joes and I need to make a run there as well. Hope you all have a great day!

Sending healing wishes and hugs to everyone! 💗
Today's been a mostly lazy day. I slept in til nearly 9, and then made us some omelets. Apart from that, just doing some cleaning around the house... but mostly looking at Instagram for scrapbooking inspiration. Eventually I'll do some laundry. We rarely wear our winter coats, but it might be in the 40s next week when we're on our trip. We'd rather have our jackets and not need them than freeze. It's only 65 here today, which is so nice because it's actually not roasting in our apartment. We have fans going year-round since our AC is one of those old units that can only do heat or AC, and they've already turned off the AC for the year.
Dinner will be steak with mushrooms and roasted broccoli (unless DH decides to make the broccoli in the pan). Not sure yet, but looking forward to it either way.

cadoodlebug I love that idea from yesterday leannec hopefully they figure out all your infections I am dragging. Dd2 got up in the middle of the night to get water and tripped down her stairs which are very steep. She’s on blood thinners and immediately started bleeding and having cramps She also hit her head. The ER sent her to L&D where they did all the tests. Thankfully she & baby are ok. Scared me to death. Luke is in a mood today too. Bedtime can’t come soon enough. Grilling some steak with broccolini and salad. scrapmaven hoping there’s something new they can do for your migraine.

I enjoyed the Alice stories but I'm not sure how much tolerance I have for more fantastical children's literature right now. I've moved on to The Great Gatsby.

I am home and we had fun! Becki it was just how I had hoped. We had coffee, then did a craft fair, we had lunch at Earls and then went to IMAX to watch a 3D film about the Arctic. It was fun. I am tired now, but it was so much fun. The food we had at the restaurant was very good. It is a nicer restaurant in Victoria.

I'm glad to hear that your mum is taking you to urgent care leannec . That was six ours ago, middle of the night here.... do you have an update for us? cadoodlebug that meme is soooooo accurate! Although surprisingly, I change my car clock over the first time I got into it when we changed to daylights savings last month. I can never remember how to do it, so I just pressed a couple of buttons together, and fluked it! It bugs me when DSO changes the oven and microwave clocks. It's normally in the afternoon when he changes them, and he will enter, for example, 4:20. But the clocks are 24 hour clocks, so when it's 8:30am, the clock says 20:30. So annoying! teddyw how terrifying!! I'm glad that your DD and the baby are okay. jeremysgirl have you got a link to the list of books that you're choosing from? I'm curious to see how many I have read. I'm thinking it will be a number that I can count on one hand. And they will most likely be books that I had to read in high school English and English Literature. We went out for dinner with my BFF of 50+ years and her husband. We went to their favourite Greek restaurant. DSO and I shared the meat platter, and because he doesn't love lamb cutlets as much as I do, he let me have his as well.

I met this new friend (woman) and she wants to do stuff. So far there is a long walk with the dog, another craft fair and she has told me about another one we need to go to. It will be fun. None of my local friends do anything other than sit and drink my coffee.

UPDATE: I was at Urgent Care for about two hours (way shorter than expected!) ... the doctor was very nice and agreed that I am a mess ... gave me prescriptions for antibiotics, nasal spray, steroid topical cream and a med to clear up my terrible yeast infection. I came home and immediately went to bed Now I will sort out my meds and get my night time ones ready to go! Thanks for the support everyone! I just feel crappy and it sucks!

I hope you're able to get some sleep leannec , and feel a bit better when you wake up. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in quickly. Did you also get some probiotics to ward off thrush? I always get thrush after taking antibiotics. When I had to take some recently for my Dengue fever, the pharmacist also gave me some really good probiotic tablets, and yay, no thrush!
