Wow---I'm amazed that there were just urns with remains sitting around in the funeral home for so long. I'm glad they were finally interred. This part made me feel a bit sad, though: "The discovery of the remains of two soldiers from the Manassas National Battlefield in Virginia prompted an unsuccessful attempt in 2018 by several families to have DNA tests done on them. The Army rejected that request and reburied them as unknown soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery." On the one hand, I can understand that the Army doesn't want people demanding DNA tests on every past unknown soldier. But on the flip side, it must have been difficult for the families to believe those remains may have belonged to someone they loved and not be able to find out for sure.
