so maybe we all should be buying land and opening cemeteries.. cause if you gut the public health system on the national and local level, if you continue to take away women's health, if you dismiss vaccines ... then the cemeteries will be in high demand.. as that is what happened before our strong public health system.. people, and esp. children died. from currently preventable disease. who is lining up their kids to die from measles? or from unregulated food supply? or from poor food manufacturing quality control? and as you take regulations on pollution and coal, etc..that's more people dying from bad air and bad water. that is the direction the maga people want us to go...death and destruction. you can't dismiss their words as pie in the sky. Nobody is gutting the health system. Who’s taking regulations on pollution and coal, etc.? And RFK Jr wants the toxic chemicals out of our food supply and wants to regulate big pharma better. You say MAGA like it’s a bad thing…I think everyone wants America to be great again. Well, mostly everyone. |

And yes, Trump will repeal the ACA and replace it with a return to a fully market based system, which excludes millions of people from being able to access and afford healthcare. I have only voted for a republican president once and that was GW Bush. His opponent was from my state, and I knew enough about how stuff had gone around here that he was not the guy.
However, since then I have voted D because the policies just make sense. I went to college late in life, 45. When I was taking my econ classes, I can remember thinking see this makes total sense. Supply/demand etc.
So, when someone (my entire family BTW) tells me they wanted Trump because of the economy, and they were better off than with Biden I just want to scream. How can anyone think that his “new” policy will work? Tariffs are pricing the companies pay. Not China. So, when your diet coke goes through the roof (again) because the cost of importing the aluminum or whatever they need is 60% higher, I don’t want to hear it.
But the scariest thing about the whole deal is the slippery slope we are on when it comes to freedom. For all I hear about “my freedoms” when it comes to guns, they don’t also mention women’s freedoms, LGBTQ freedom. It’s all choice.
I have two granddaughters that I would kill for, and heaven forbid one of them were to get SA by someone and become pregnant with a child they do not want, you can bet your sweet butt I will move mountains to help them.
When a child is not OLD enough to read certain books (according to R) but is old enough to carry and raise a child, the world has lost its ever-loving mind.
So, for now, its women’s and LGBTQ rights, but wait more will come. One of these days you will look up and notice that a lot of your freedoms are gone. If you don’t support the hierarchy, you will be put to the side. Guns will be the least of your problems and for damn sure the price of eggs won’t matter.
Not to mention the fact that he is a misogynist pig, rapist and convicted felon but all hail the chief right?
And there are several within my family and in this state that use their religion as a basis for their vote. I am not a christian. I used to be but I healed. But I can tell you that in that bible so many wave around it talks about love and acceptance not hate and bigotry and divide.

Clinton said the same thing and I haven’t seen where MAGA supporters have been buying that. What is the difference? P.S - If you want to drink raw milk I do believe that is up to you. However you and where you purchase it need to accept all repercussions and consequences. I drank raw milk from my grandparents farm every now and then over the years. Truthfully I like pasteurized better. They always also had pasteurized in their fridge in addition to raw and were very careful with the raw especially with others. So there is a bit of playing the dice there, no different than with other food practices though. |

the air, water and land pollution rules will be gutted.. under the last trump administration, they passed over 100 regulations (or got rid of) that promoted coal, fossil fuel, mining, and actions that worsened the situation for our planet. saw a list yesterday with the facebook group Alt NPS.
all the oil and coal ceo's are trump's buddies. why would you think he would not do that? drill drill drill, ruin the land. we have plenty of oil production right now and don't need to do this stuff but that won't stop trump

That has been almost ten years now, and he was President for four of those years. While President he tried to repeal the ACA what, 50 or 60 times? And why, besides that it had Obama's name on it? Yet he never had a new plan then and he still doesn't. Is the ACA perfect? No. Obama had other plans for it as well but of course McConnell and other R's wouldn't let that happen. But it is better than nothing, particularly in regards to pre-existing conditions. I would like to see your proof that socialism is bad. Also, what do you consider to be socialism? Trump throws out words like socialism, fascist, Marxist, Communist and any other thing he thinks will resonate with his base that knows very little, if anything, about what those words actually mean. That being said, actual historians, political experts and those close to Trump have said that he is "fascist to the core." I don't know if you are just someone who will always vote R and don't take the time to look into the policies that are being proposed or the people who are proposing them or what. But it is clear that you only listen to things that don't challenge your views. |

Yes...Trump said that there are 20 million criminals in the country so it must be true, and deport them without any trial or evidence. Trump says that he cut ties with Epstein, despite lots of evidence that he didn't and that Trump is quite a bit like Epstein, but of course he is telling the truth. Trump was convicted of 34 felonies with other charges pending, and found guilty of sexual abuse (should have been rape) but of course those were sham trials. It's maddening. |
