Unless a hurricane interferes, LSU will be hosting Alabama on Saturday night in Death Valley. A lot is on the line for both schools. I hope we win but I'm not counting on it. Who does your team play? GEAUX TIGERS!

I do not have to watch the Huskers lose this week. They have a bye. They did bring in someone new to help with offense.
Go Big Red!

Hotty Toddy!!! Ole Miss is hosting #2 Georgia. Hopeful for a win but who knows. Miss State travels to play Tennessee and that seems like a sure loss, but this season who knows! I mean, who ever thought Vanderbilt would be in the top 25!

I'm with huskergal, relieved that I don't have to watch my team lose again this week. Michigan State has a bye after our humiliation by Indiana last week. I think I'll be Hoosier fan for the rest of the season, would love to see them in the playoffs.

I mean, who ever thought Vanderbilt would be in the top 25! My DH had shoulder surgery yesterday, and he is still really hoping the pain will be at a level where he can still go to the Ole Miss/Georgia game, but I'm doubting he'll be up for traveling. We will be on pins and needles even if we're watching from home. Vanderbilt is fun to watch this year!

TCU plays Oklahoma St. this evening. It’s on a channel I get, FS 1. FYI for sports lovers, YouTube Live TV has a lot, almost all, of the sports channels. Good luck today everyone. 💜

Texas Tech is playing Colorado State. I think the game could go either way, depending on which team shows up.
A&M has a bye week again so no Aggie football today.

Ole Miss upsets #2 Georgia!!! Fans got a bit carried away and rushed the field with 16 seconds left to go in the game. Last I saw the goal posts were headed out of the stadium! Wonder what the fine is going to be for that? JustCallMeMommy - Were you able to attend the game, or did you have to watch at home? Hope your DH is feeling better.

University of Delaware beat Rhode Island today 24 to 21. It was a gorgeous day for a football game.

I’m watching TCU game and I thought I heard the announcer say this. So I had to come here and see. Congratulations.

Not looking good for my Tigers. Bama leads 21-6 at the half. Of course the refs are pulling their usual hijinks.

DH was determined, so we went. He did pretty well, especially for someone who had surgery 3 days before. The whole game was fun. There was only one point when we were trailing, but I still didn't completely believe we were going to win until well into the 4th quarter. Ole Miss has been known to blow leads before, and Georgia is very good at pulling out wins. The best stat that I saw after the game was that Ole Miss was the first team not named Alabama to beat Georgia since Nov. 2020. The squirrel made an appearance on the field again, and I saw quite a few people who had squirrel buttons, signs, or t-shirts. I couldn't see him as well as I could last time because he was on the other end of the field. The end of the game was a sight to see! I was texting my parents and daughter during the third quarter to keep watching after the game was decided, because you could see people everywhere getting ready to go over the walls. The section in front of our seats is all passholder seats with chairs (i.e., expensive even to resell), so there are usually quite a few empty seats. At the beginning of 4th quarter, I looked down and realized every seat was filled with people waiting for the "end" of the game....or, as it turns out, until there was just one play left - Ole Miss fans are apparently not very good at timing their storming of the field. Or so good that they wanted to do it twice.

I know it was a disappointing loss for LSU, especially since both teams were ranked so closely together. We were listening on the radio on our drive home. We say the same thing about the refs every week - we have to play the opponent and the referees. I suspect everyone feels that way.
