Hi, rec'd an Ali Express die that didn't correctly die cut. 3 Happy Happy Happy stacked words where the top & middle H wouldn't cut out. I applied a paper shim over the 2 H's and that didn't help. Next, applied a pc. of cardstock over the 2 H's..also, didn't help.
I informed the Ali Express seller of his/her defective die and would be filing a Dispute. I located my AE order and clicked onto the defective die. I uploaded 3 photos (under 2 MB each). I chose the reason didn't work properly...defective.
Shockingly, I had never seen this message before: Text description is required to upload to show item issue...(in red). There is NO place to type any text description. And I couldn't proceed any further after that message came up.
I didn't know what to do. I looked up info. via Google..and it said (by AI) I needed to type up a description of the defect. My uploaded photos included the defective die, and typed description of the defects, and the 2 die cuts showing the H's not being fully cut out.
I don't file AE disputes often but most of the time filing them hasn't been difficult.
This has really stumped me.
Have you experienced this message and what did you do? Thanks in advance for your advices.

It sucks to get a die that doesn't work but that seems to be the chance you take when you buy what is most likely counterfeit

paperlovinggal I just tried a test dispute and got that message. In the red box where the photo is, I clicked right above the photo and was able to add text there. There’s default grey text there but once you click on it it goes away and you can type. Hope that makes sense.

If that doesn't work and you're using the mobile app, try it on a web browser/computer.

Hi, thanks to Pink Lady..I tried out her suggestions (input a fake dispute item). Under the Please provide supporting proof as per selected reason you will read Photos/videos & text description are both required to upload to show item issue. Upload your photos (under 2 MB)..3 maximum? Then, Red words will appear: Text description is required to upload to show item issue. THEN, you type over the light grey words in the box: Please provide valid proof or you may consider "No longer needed" as the return option in case you're uncertain of proof. The light grey words will disappear as soon as you start typing over them with your own explanation for the dispute. And after that is done you continue with the dispute filing.
