There millions of jobs in the US that you can’t get if you have a felony (or sometimes even felony charges or even misdemeanors) on your record.
You *might* be able to join the US military if you have a felony on your record, but it’s going to take a LOT of work to get a waiver.
But with recent events, I’m assuming that disqualifying an applicant based on their criminal record should now be illegal, right? After all, we’ve apparently decided as a country that we don’t care about criminal records/histories, right?
I have to say, I just don’t understand anymore.

Well we know that one particular felon wouldn't be applying to join the US military (even if he weren't a decrepit old man), good ole Capt Coward BoneSpurs. Why should we even arrest people? If he gets off with no consequences, the rest of us should be the same. You know, to avoid the two tiered justice system that he says we shouldn’t have. And, as someone on the other thread said, we are all sinners and who are we to say that one sin is worse than another? Forgive, forget and move on. No need for laws or consequences.

Well.... Remember if you go to government public schools under the upcoming new system, you are automatically signed up for the military. If you go to government supported private schools you are exempt from the military!!
Consideration is surfacing to reenact the draft.

Only if you can pardon yourself, or if you have a mentor in the WH. Look for the Jan. 6th criminals to be pardoned. Everything is transactional with that guy; he has no principles.

You do know that most of the 2016 cabinet couldn't get clearance right? They all had sketchy backgrounds and associates. The incoming shit show said they will do their own security clearances, forget the FBI. We are LITERALLY going to have felons running the country. Yet the GOP doesn't seem to care.

When the trump followers were so happy he was getting away with everything, I was like "You do realize there is a democrat in office now, right? A guy you don't like? A guy you don't trust? because now he can do whatever the heck he wants, too!" Only, you know what, no matter if they admit it or not, they all probably are well aware that neither Biden nor Harris would do that kind of thing, even if they could get away with it. |

My husband shouldn’t even have to maintain his security clearance for his federal job, right? Anything goes now.
Oh wait, since he’s not a Trump ass-kisser he’ll likely lose his job anyway and be replaced with an under qualified sycophant 🙄.
