Emergency message from my sister. If you are a praying Pea please lift up my niece. She is 30 years old and pregnant with her first, 22weeks 6 days. She has a liver health issue, and yesterday they decided to medi-evac her from Craig, AK to Seattle. Craig is a small community on Prince of Whales Island off of Ketchikan, AK. Her husband and FIL were hunting by boat, finally found husband. A 1.5 hour Flight by jet to Boeing Field and transfer to Swedish Hospital in Seattle.
Specialists say underlying liver condition for niece, baby is healthy. Deep dive medical testing and hopefully discharge within a week.
Many answers to prayer in just 18 hours! Husband located in just a few hours and they were medi-vaced together. My sister, her mother and first grandchild to be,made a safe drive from Portland to Seattle. Baby is healthy and can hopefully continue to be a womb resident until birth outcomes are better.
Know that prayer has already been at work! Thank you for reading.

Praying Peas--the power of prayer is working. First the contact with her husband who was hunting in a remote part of Prince of Wales Island. A man in their church flooded both husband and FIL's phones with text messages. Husband of niece decided to walk and hit a pocket of reception and received the flood that alerted them of the urgency of their return. God's providence!
As for baby, scans are scheduled along with medical tests for Momma. As of now BBB (baby boy b) is safe and sound. Apparently, niece (Mom of BBB) has had elevated liver enzymes since a car accident in 2020. Now they need to get to the bottom of what is going on for niece.
I will update as I am informed. Thank you for your prayers!

Oh my goodness, how awful for the husband when he finally got the flood of texts. Bet he was in a panic. Glad your niece got to the appropriate place for medical care and hope they find the problem and treat it very soon. Thank goodness the baby is ok.

DN and her DH were getting ancy! Let her walk in the hospital and continued to monitor her liver enzymes. Diagnosis at this point is Cholestasis of pregnancy, thus related to the pregnancy. The medication is working and has brought her numbers down into an acceptable level. As of this morning the liver MD would release her, but they wanted an ultrasound of BBB. Hospital didn't have an opening until Tuesday!!!!! Finally they decided to release her to go to an ultrasound at a clinic and see a doctor there. They are in a hotel tonight and DN and her DH will fly back to Craig, AK tomorrow. My sister is with them and able to provide transportation for all the appointments and airport transport.
Thank you for all your prayers! Those who believe know that what-ever the outcome, the power of prayer is mighty! Please pray for a safe journey back to Craig. (Flight from SEA to Ketchikan, then small airplane to Craig on Prince of Wales Island.)
Have not heard definitely IF she can go back to teaching, or when they plan to deliver BBB. Her enzymes can be monitored at the clinic in Craig. My research says that they often induce at about 37 weeks to keep baby safe.
