I'm on 5 mgs of Mounjaro for diabetes and nothing tastes good. I've been on this dosage for 2 weeks (I am pre-diabetic) and nothing tastes good to me. I've always wondered what the key to weight loss was on these drugs. Is it you don't feel like eating or feel full? I have felt this way since Thursday where I didn't want to eat anything. I made steak tonight with a baked potato and it just didn't taste good so I ate very little.
I'm not sure if this is how they work so would love suggestions.

Some people just feel full, some feel vaguely nauseated, some just have no cravings, some say that food tastes different.

I wasn't sure exactly how they worked so I'm guessing I'm on the food tastes different. Like gross.

I’m on Mounjaro 7.5. Food tastes fine, but my appetite is much lower than it was before. I also have no cravings for sweets.
When I first started on 2.5, and every time I stepped up to a new dose, I got a little nauseous for the first day or two, but now it doesn’t bother me. I’ve been on 7.5 for 6 weeks, and I’m stepping up to 10.0 in 2 weeks, then 12.5 and eventually 15.0. I expect I will still get nauseous at each level.
In mid-July, my A1C was 13.1 and my blood glucose was 398. Last week, I had my blood work done again, and my A1C is down to 5.8 and my glucose was 94. I’ve lost 35 pounds, and my doctor upped my dosage to continue the weight loss.
I am VERY happy with Mounjaro!

I'm on 15mg of Mounjaro and food doesn't taste bad.. but I don't have the appetite that I had... so stuff just usually doesn't sound good. Some things I do crave... like Salmon.. I love it... and one meal will last me 2 or 3. Yay.

I am on 12.5 Mounjaro and I no longer drink coffee, maybe 1 cup a month now, I hardly crave anything I used to love chips and salsa as snack food and no longer eat them. But they all taste the same I just don't crave them anymore.

Thanks for all of your replies. I wasn't sure what I would feel like when I started on this and it's good to know others experiences.
