Hi today we were stuffing backpacks for families with food insecurity. We had leftover food today one school got plenty of extra fruit and another school got bread in addition to the other food. I am kind of psyched because those families will just have more food for the weekend.
Dexter got groomed and he looks gorgeous and so soft.
Dinner tonight will be a smoked meat sandwich for my dad, and I will have ham and vegetables. I may roast some more because they were so good last night.

Tearisci , might they need to re-do your surgery or will a new lifestyle plan be sufficient? No the surgery that I had was to repair the hole in my colon that was made during my hysterectomy. I was in the hospital for 3 months and that was the surgery he consulted on. This would be a new surgery - a gastric bypass that wouldn't have anything to do with the other surgery. Oh you had a fistula from your hysterectomy? I had a fistula too, from my kidney to the vaginal area. It didn’t show up for years afterwards, as it was a gradual tear that grew with scar tissue. It took two surgeries to repair it. Sid you know right away about it? I’m babysitting three days a week for grandkids, staying at my son and DIL’s home, and he is cooking burgers for dinner.

I made myself a most delicious salad for supper. - romaine lettuce, spinach, chicken, cheese, cucumber, hard boiled egg, cashews, strawberries and mandarin orange slices topped with creamy poppyseed dressing. That sounds so good. I love salads, especially with fruit, nuts and poppyseed dressing.

I’m having a brain freeze, where do we host pictures to post here? I wanted to post a couple more of where I Scrapbook, but they’re too large to just do it as an attachment

Popping for a quick update. Yesterday on the advice of DH's internist, we had him transported to the ER at Methodist. He is having an MG flare, as well as a UTI. More than likely the UTI is what triggered the flare. They checked him in and are treating him with antibiotics as well as doing IVIG infusions for the MG. He'll be fine but I suspect he'll be there about a week. We are very comfortable having him there as the care is top notch. Getting him out of the skilled nursing facility was a blessing and he won't be going back. It was not a very good experience for our family. The plan is for him to come home afterwards and use home health care and PT (which I know can be iffy as well). So now I am scrambling to turn DD's old room into a place for him.
Dinner tonight was a loaded baked potato, which hit the spot. Have to fast after midnight as I have my 6 month check up tomorrow. Not thrilled as it isn't until noon, so I will avoid as much human contact until afterwards. That's a long time for me to go without my morning coffee!

**GypsyGirl**, your family deserves a huge break from all of this medical worry and stress. Know that you have friends here. ((((HUGS)))). Tearisci, what a scary moment in time. Thank goodness for great medical care and a loving sister.

Maybe you are in training for a polar plunge!!! That would be a hard NO! I’m having a brain freeze, where do we host pictures to post here? I wanted to post a couple more of where I Scrapbook, but they’re too large to just do it as an attachment postimages.org **GypsyGirl**, I'm sorry for the upheaval but glad you have a plan that doesn't involve that facility.
