I've go no problems with the success of Blue Sky or other social platforms.
I never had a Twitter/X account and only went there the last several days because I was looking for a recent photo that Google search had already scrubbed. I found it by using the search bar at X. So I tried searching several other things on X and there was a HUGE difference from Google in results.
I'm looking at Blue Sky right now, and mixed right between fascinating photos from space are the exact same foul language and "othering" posts that I've seen and heard everywhere else. I began looking for more information on the platform and found this:
Which will turn it into yet another echo-chamber.
Sounds lovely, until you have a belief or an ideal that the masses decide must be cancelled at all costs. Crazy ideas like believing in the science of basic human biological differences will make you a target of derision for the very people who scream that you need to "follow the science".
You may think that it won't happen to you. That it can't happen to you. You're a good person. You've made it this far within the community.
Stay within group-think and all should be well.

I joined but have only found one person that I followed on x. I want to still be able to access x if needed for wildfire news. My other app I use is good but sometimes other people post with expanded information. I’m hoping to find the people I follow on other sites.

I made a Twitter account years ago when I first heard of it, didn't really get the appeal, and never posted there. I don't even remember what name I used and don't have that email anymore.
I won't be on bluesky either.
I have a threads just because IG encouraged it and I wanted to have my business name on there taken by me and not someone else. I made exactly one post and, like Twitter, never went there again.

I stopped using Twitter when Musk took over. I deleted my account last week before the new ToS went into effect. I haven’t really missed it so I don’t know that I’ll rush to make a BlueSky account. I get a lot of Twitter/X/Bluesky content on Reddit.
