Yeah, they called today and said we're ending the contract, you're not the right fit.
I am stunned and sad. Between onboarding and computer issues I only worked for them for 2 weeks (on the payroll for 3).
I'm going to go throw up now.

I'm sorry to hear this news and can tell in your tone how upset you are. (of course!)
May I gently suggest that you ask them for specific feedback as soon as possible? They must have something to say, and that can help you figure out where to look for your next job.

That's terrible. There is no way that 2 weeks in they would have any idea if you're the right fit or not. I bet there are other things going on that have nothing to do with you or your performance.

I was a remote worker, under contract to start on a monday. They didn't get a me a computer until Wednesday of my first week then I didn't have access to any of the programs I needed until Friday of my first week. I attended new hire orientation on my personal laptop the first 2 days, then got the computer on Wednesday but had issues getting connected. So basically the first week was a wash. then I got my first assignment on Monday, got good feedback on it then had 3 more assignments which I apparently did not do as well on as I had nothing today and got the call in the afternoon. I've asked for feedback, because i was recruited I'm working with my guy at the agency. I've also now got to return the computer. I have reached out to a place I was interviewing with when I was offered this job and they are still looking, so I told them I was interested. We'll see if that pans out. |

There is something else going on here. 4 assignments is enough to realize someone may need a little more training. It is not enough to decide someone isnt the right fit, especially in a remote setting (it isnt like you arent getting along with coworkers, kwim?)
