I'm sorry that things didn't work out. Your recruiter should have feedback to help you. Then he can place you again, if the other job doesn't pan out. I'll think great job thoughts and I hope that the other job is a great one and meant for you.

Thank you all, I just feel so almost ashamed. I was so happy and felt like I was dealing with asking for feedback, which is hard for me due to some toxicity at my last (long term) job. A couple of people have reiterated that 2 weeks is not long enough to learn a new brand, especially remote and they're right. This just triggers some very old insecurity about my abilities and what I can actually do.
THe place I reached out to is still looking for someone and i have an interview today. While not my first choice, it is work IN my field, just less money and in person. I liked them when I had the initial interview but the other position was just too shiny to pass up. As I told my daughter (college student) this is why you never burn bridges in a professional environment. You never know when you'll need to cross them hat in hand.

I am a firm believer that when doors close, other doors open. I hope you find something that makes you grateful this didn't work out.

Onboarding meaning training? And were the computer issues yours or theirs? Just curious why you were on the payroll for 3 weeks and only worked 2? I was a remote worker, under contract to start on a monday. They didn't get a me a computer until Wednesday of my first week then I didn't have access to any of the programs I needed until Friday of my first week. I attended new hire orientation on my personal laptop the first 2 days, then got the computer on Wednesday but had issues getting connected. So basically the first week was a wash. then I got my first assignment on Monday, got good feedback on it then had 3 more assignments which I apparently did not do as well on as I had nothing today and got the call in the afternoon. Sounds like you may be better off not working for that company, if they have issues like that. Hopefully the other place will be a great company to work for!

Try to negotiate for hybrid work if you get an offer from the new company

I'm so sorry! I hope you are able to snag that earlier job. I've been silently commiserating with you this year during your job hunt. I was laid off in May, and I just now got a job. It has been a long and stressful year. It's especially rude that they'd hire you and cut you without giving you a fair trial period. Good luck!

Hope your interview went well.
You don't want to work at a place that doesn't give anyone a chance to improve. I think there was a lot more going on there than you know and that this had very little to do with you.

That's so unfair; you didn't even have a real chance. What a waste of everyone's resources--your time, their time, just a waste. This is on them, not you. It's irresponsible to do something like this to someone who is barely even onboarded.
I'm so sorry this happened to you.

That's terrible. There is no way that 2 weeks in they would have any idea if you're the right fit or not. I bet there are other things going on that have nothing to do with you or your performance. I bet that this is true.

Second interview with the place I followed up with on Wednesday.
I sent an email to my recruiter outlining what happened on my end. I feel at peace with things, they're sill not giving him answers but the only thing I can take from this is what can I learn from it and how can i handle asking for feedback in the future.
