Have any you love?
I have a hard anodized Calphalon set I received as a wedding present 34 years ago. It’s showing some age, dd ran a few pieces thru the dishwasher and it’s discolored. We are missing a lid for one pot.
I have a set of Cuisinart stainless steel I bought with credit card points. I’m not sure if it’s the pans or me, but I’m finding them difficult to use. I like the idea of stainless.
I don’t know want Teflon. I was looking at HexClad but on TrustPilot all the recent rave reviews are from customers who had to ask for replacements.
What are you using and loving?

I have 3 Scanpan skillets I really love. They are from Sur La Table. I tend toward inexpensive pots. The expensive ones are so heavy.

I got my husband a set of HexClad pans last Christmas and we are in love with them! They clean up like a dream and are truly non stick. Highly recommend!

Most of my pans are Caphalons. They are my favorite. My pots are Faberware. They are quite a few years old, but still look good. I also have some Cusinart pots. I haven’t bought any pots or pans in a very long time.

All Clad. It's what I replaced a set of Calphalon pots/pans from the 1980s with. We have been using the All Clad Stainless for about 15 years and it still looks great. Try to get the pieces that are still made in the US though, not the China made. There is a difference in quality IMO.

We have a really nice set of Circulon pots and pans from Costco, but they’re Teflon. We liked them so much we bought a second set for the lake cabin. They were about $150 on sale.

All Clad. Best purchase and was totally worth the high cost. Mine are at least ten years old and look brand new and cook beautifully.

We have Scanpan saucepans and one of their frypans.
They've done everything we've ever wanted and still look great after at least 10 years of use.
If we were ever to replace them though, we'd probably splurge and invest in some Le Crueset enameled ones. 😍

DH bought us a full set of HexClad about 2 years ago as a joint ‘anniversary gift’ - note: we don’t generally ‘do’ anniversary gifts, the timing of needing new pans just coincided! I love them. They cook evenly and are easy to clean.

Older Calphalon like you have are much better quality than what’s being made now. My old Calphalon isn’t pretty but you’d have to pry it away from me.
We also have All Clad which I love. But in my opinion, nothing stands alone. Each type has its own best use. My two very old cast iron skillets and my Le Creuset pieces round out what I consider essential for my kitchen.

Thanks all. spongemom - that does make sense. I should do the smart thing and just replace a few at a time. Try some different brands.

I bought this set from Kohls on Black Friday last year and I love them! DS loves them too. They are ceramic, so not teflan but are nonstick. I love the covered saute pan.
I've been in Kohls a few times in the last week or so and I have seen a few people buying them.

I have 3 Scanpan skillets I really love. They are from Sur La Table. I tend toward inexpensive pots. The expensive ones are so heavy. I have Scanpans that held up really well. I do hand wash them though. They are showing signs of wear and it's probably time to replace them, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again. I also have a set of 3 Tramotina skillets that I bought at Costco. I really love them. They are ceramic and very affordable. I wish they sold pots because I would buy the entire set. They are also super affordable. I have several Le Creuset pieces as well. Love them for braising, chilis, soups, etc. But they are HEAVY.

I have a set of Calphalon that I really like, but the skillets have warped (DH and one DD refuse to follow my directions not to use high heat on a cold pan!) and don’t work as well as they should on my glass top stove. So im in the market for a couple of new skillets, and I’m going for All Clad this time. I think the D3 line would work best for me, and they will work on the induction cooktop I want.
All Clad is having a factory seconds sale next month just a short drive from my house, and I plan to go with friends. I don’t need a full set of cookware as I still have some stainless sauce pans and stock pots from older sets that will be fine.

I have a set of Faberware pots and pans that have lasted all 36 years of my marriage. I've had to tighten the screws on some of the handles a few times but that's it.

I have figured out that I am not a "set" person. There's always a never-used dog in every set, at least for me. My two most used pots/pans are:
1. All Clad 12" skillet with a lid. 2. My parents' cast iron dutch oven.
The story goes that my father bought the cast iron dutch oven for 75 cents at a garage sale, and it was already very old when he bought it. He bought it probably 75 years ago, to give some time context to the story. My mom used it throughout my childhood and early adult life, then didn't really need it anymore so we transferred it to our kitchen, where she did still sometimes use it (she lived with us for 20+ years until her death 10 years ago).
At one point it was not in good shape from not being cared for properly. Definitely salvageable, but needed a little TLC. I don't remember when that happened--maybe 10-15 years ago? So I joined a cast iron cooking group on FB and that's when I truly realized what a treasure this thing is. I learned that it is pretty rare and in terms of old pots, quite valuable. Similar ones sell for over $300 on eBay. It's a "no name ugly hammered" or something like that, which I still find to be charming and quirky and on-brand for my family.
I followed the steps to get it back into perfect condition and we've maintained it very easily. I think my husband was just letting it soak in water too long or something. It's truly the easiest pot in the world to keep clean. It gets used probably 4-5 times a week and is the go-to for most dinners.

I don't have a set either. We started out with hand-me-downs from a family member and slowly built what we wanted. I bought a few stainless pots from TJ Maxx, a Lodge enameled cast iron Dutch oven (by far the MVP), two non stick skillets and a Lodge cast iron skillet. I still need to find a stockpot, because my biggest stainless pot isn't really big enough for the amount of spaghetti etc that our family eats now.

My favourite pots and pans are actually from Aldi. It is the Croton Cast Aluminium range. They sell these pots and pans as part of their Special Buys range every few months, so you can't just go in and buy them whenever you want, which is annoying. I now have three pots in different sizes, a fry pan, and two oven roasting dishes. Heavy cast aluminum for maximum heat distribution and retention - 4 layer ILAG Ultimate ‘stone look' non-stick interior - Includes tempered glass lid with silicone ring and strainer function - Suitable for all heating sources except induction- Oven resistant up to 200°C - Dishwasher safe I love them because (so far) the non-stick surface has lasted so much longer than all of my other non-stick pots/pans. This is the only picture I could find to link: Crofton pot

I’m a huge fan of the Rachel Ray hard anodized cookware. Everything cooks even and nothing sticks.

Anybody have the Carote pots and pans? My DD has them but has not had much time to use them yet. I've heard good things. Was thinking about picking some up for myself.

I do love my HexClad! I have been using them for a while now, and I cook at least 2 meals a day, so they get pretty heavy use. I do try to avoid metal utensils, even thought they say you can use them. But I try to stick to silicone if I can. I do use metal meat forks though.
I often run them through the dishwasher, which is something I used to never do. But damn they come out sparkling and no issues with the finish. They are non-stick, but you have to treat them more like stainless. Warm them a bit, then add some kind of fat and swirl to coat the pan. I sometimes use a spray like Pam also, and don't have any issue with residue from that. I prefer to use butter or some other natural fat though, if I can. If you don't prep the pan at all, things like eggs will stick.

Most of my pots are Calphalon, from 1996. A couple are showing wear, but they're good enough for me still. Otherwise I have some skillets that aren't anything special, but I do really like them. I have 3 of the 10", it's my go to for quick pan fry things like bacon, eggs, hashbrows, sandwiches, etc. I also have a Le Cruiset Dutch Oven I love for soups, and a braiser.
