I need friends again! LOL I have a new position at work (that I wasn’t and am still not sure I want, way more stress and not a significant enough raise to balance out the stress) and have needed something to reduce my constant state of anxiety so I reinstalled ACNH and can’t recall how to have friends. I see you all on my switch profile as friends but have no friend list in game?? My name in game is Elle Bee and my island is Honu Isle. Anyway I would love to add anyone again who still plays once in a while. I’m loving just mindlessly pulling weeds and hitting rocks and chatting with my super adorable villagers. I forgot how much I loved this game.

If we're already in your Switch as friends, the next step is to have someone visit your island and then you visit their island. Then when you open up your friends in ACNH they should be there and you can change them to best friends or whatever in your phone. Does that make sense?

Oh, also, if you need bells, please let me know. I still have lifetime access to a Treasure Island and I'm happy to deliver WHATEVER. <3

LOL, I haven’t played it in forever so my house is probably full of roaches and my island littered with weeds and rocks! It is cute at Christmastime with the lights on the trees so maybe I’ll pick it back up for a bit once that season comes back.

Oh my gosh that’s right I have to open my gates for visitors, thanks for the reminder. I could not for the life of me remember that.

I’m telling myself to go slow and enjoy the process but man Tom Nook and his crooked pricing!! lol. I’ll let you know if I cave in and could use some. Thanks.

I haven't played in forever. I can't even imagine what my island looks like right now. How much unopened mail and such...
I'm in the middle of Disney Dreamlight Valley and I like it but it doesn't have the same sweet fun of having visitors over. If you cave and want help, send up a flare. I'll fire it up and see if I remember how to play!🤣

I know I’ve said in other threads that I want to visit other islands, and I never have. I need to figure out what I need to do. I am getting bored with my island. I have over 9 million bells, I finished the museum except for the art pieces. I even have a gold rose. 😆 But, I only have two fruits, well 3 if you count the coconuts, and I haven’t done any terra forming. I just have a standard boring island. 🤣
My BFF is Molly. I love that little duck.

I'm happy to open my island for a while when you're ready to just dip your toe in. I just set it up and then go AFK.

I haven't played in forever either. And I had started over completely so my new island doesn't have anything much, I have no money, etc. lol. I got sidetracked by Dinkum and Palia, both of which I'm still playing. But now I'm thinking about going back to my Animal Crossing island. One nice thing about Dinkum is that you can have several islands going at one time, unlike Animal Crossing where you have to delete the old one first. So I hardly even remember how to get going again in ACNH.

Fellow ACNH addict here. Once I get a breather from making personalized elves I’ll play! I love having visitors and visiting. I have all the crops. Right now I have a bunch of stuff set out for a free yard sale- just haven’t opened the gates.

Now I’m curious, what game is this? Animal Crossings New Horizon. A cozy game, maybe on the Switch only, that became very popular during Covid. I was a bit late grabbing a Switch and the game because I never got home during Covid. Our 3 person church office stayed open as we were all so far apart. But you meet Tom the Crook to buy your little piece of paradise island with a house. Then you build on that. You have to run around and get supplies and resources. Make bells (the currency of the island). Make friends with all the villagers. You just have fun. You mosey around and terra form after a while on the island. You decorate. I absolutely LOVED Christmas on the island. Which makes me think maybe I will open it and pull all the weeds, kill all the roaches (yes, you have roaches in your houses after you've been away too long), make sure all my villagers are happy with me and start the Christmas decorating! The snow on the island is so pretty!!

I'll go back to my island if some other folks go back to theirs. It's been a long time. I probably live in roachville and I likely have angry residents.

I decided to login and kill roaches. The sheer amount of crap on my island keeps it from being too overrun with weeds, but it could still use a lawnmower. I think I'll start decorating for Christmas before the snow (in game) hits. Something about those lights, man.

But still have the weeds in our inventory so we can sell them for pennies on the dollar.

I have stomped the roaches on the first floor of the house. I also picked up some weeds. I have completely forgotten how to play. I know I have the most used tools on some sort of wheel but I can't remember how to get the wheel. I am also used to DDLV and being able to turn around and see everything. Can we not do that in ACNH? See again, I don't remember. I also thought I had lost all of my money but I remembered to check the ATM. Whew!! Found it!

I have it on my island and I don’t get many weeds, no roaches in DH’s TENT (he never moved past tent when we started playing over 2 years ago), flowers multiply often. I think it was 20,000 bells.

Okay you enablers... I've just plugged in my Switch to charge. I'll go to my island later and see if I even remember how to move around. I'm expecting roaches and weeds, and all my villagers will be complaining to me.

I'm expecting roaches and weeds, and all my villagers will be complaining to me. It was as if I had never picked up a Switch console in my life. Completely different buttons to do different things than what I am used to in DDLV and Epic Mickey. I am not a gamer, I only birthed 2. So there is no gamer DNA flowing in my veins. I am thinking I am going to have to go to the website I first went to when I got the game to refigure out some things. I watched YT last night but no real ACNH 101 classes. I did love seeing all the fall foliage. I remembered how to pick mushrooms and snagged a couple of falling leaves. I just don't remember the view being so limited. I thought we could pan. Maybe we can and I haven't found that button yet. Also, on weed picking...one weed patch at a time or was there a way to just press and hold and have a continuous pick-up? Again, I am probably cross-gaming thinking here. ETA: So I remembered how to get stuff out of my inventory and into storage. I went through the attic and found all my Christmas stuff. I now need to remember where my customized Whoville sign is. I had a Grinch flag and everything. I have budget numbers to work this morning and some checks to write. This afternoon I may have more play time. I will sort of be alone in the office.
