DDLV definitely has some perks!

It was as if I had never picked up a Switch console in my life. Completely different buttons to do different things than what I am used to in DDLV and Epic Mickey. I am not a gamer, I only birthed 2. So there is no gamer DNA flowing in my veins. I am thinking I am going to have to go to the website I first went to when I got the game to refigure out some things. I watched YT last night but no real ACNH 101 classes. I did love seeing all the fall foliage. I remembered how to pick mushrooms and snagged a couple of falling leaves.

I just don't remember the view being so limited. I thought we could pan. Maybe we can and I haven't found that button yet. Also, on weed picking...one weed patch at a time or was there a way to just press and hold and have a continuous pick-up? Again, I am probably cross-gaming thinking here.

ETA: So I remembered how to get stuff out of my inventory and into storage. I went through the attic and found all my Christmas stuff. I now need to remember where my customized Whoville sign is. I had a Grinch flag and everything. I have budget numbers to work this morning and some checks to write. This afternoon I may have more play time. I will sort of be alone in the office. 

Animal Crossing Peas Etiquette: Please read!

We practice a few rules of island etiquette that are pretty universal to Animal Crossing players throughout the game. Thank you for observing these community agreements!

1. When you visit someone, please do not shake trees / pick flowers / take items that are laying around, unless otherwise instructed.

2. Always announce yourself when you arrive by using the chat to type "hi" and announce when you're leaving by typing "bye". This helps let us know who visits our islands when we may be AFK (Away from Keyboard).

3. If you wish to *catalog* an item, pick up the item and then drop it back down from your pockets. You can then order those items out of your personal "catalog" using your shopping kiosk in Resident Services.

To connect with the peas. You have to have a nintendo online membership and internet access to play with us. It's $20 a year for a single member.


On the first page of any of these chat threads is this list of everyone's friend code. When you set up your switch, you can add us all using our friend codes:

Go to your profile page.
Go to Add Friend > Search with Friend Code.
Insert your friend's 12-digit friend code.
Choose "Send Friend Request" when it confirms their identity.
Press OK.


People may request you too by searching for your code. You'd go to the Add Friends screen same as above and look at your friend requests. Click on each user you want to accept and follow prompts.



To retrieve what your code is, select your User icon (My Page) from the HOME Menu. Select Profile, and then check the right side of the screen to find your friend code.

Many of us have two names-the name of our switch profile, and the name of our game character. So your requests may come in and out under different names than the ones you'll actually see in the game play.

You won't be able to visit or have visitors for the first few days of playing. Make sure you log in every day for the first few days to advance your game set up.

Once the initial few days pass, you'll go to your airport and go inside and go to the counter and push A. Orville will ask you what you want to do. If you want to visit one of us, you'll say "I wanna fly." And then choose "online" and then choose "Search for a Friend."

If you want us to come to you, you go to him and tell him you want visitors, then choose online, and then choose "all my friends."

By using the friend list, only people you've accepted can visit or allow you to visit.

If you only want a specific person to visit, you'd choose the dodo code option instead and then give that code to the person you want to visit.

To make in-game chatting easier, download the nintendo switch app and sign in with the same info you used to create your nintendo online account. Choose animal crossing and then skip the "voice chat" option. Then choose the keyboard option. Anything you type there on the phone will show up on screen.

My gates are open and the dodo code is 9NL3L. Pick fruit, flowers and even weeds. I'm not playing, but I'll leave it open for few hours.Enjoy. Please don't leave bells. I have plenty. Use your bells to spruce up your islands.
