leannec I love the meme! That was my plan for Sunday, to do a whole lot of nothing (except clean out another couple of shelves in my pantry). Then DD asked if she and her partner could come over for dinner, seeing that we missed out dinner night during the week. I think I mentioned on another thread that I found three jars of tamarind puree and a bag of tamarind pulp when I cleaned out the pantry, so I thought I'd make something that uses tamarind. I made three of our favourite dishes: Asian Crab & Prawn Wonton CrispsThai Spicy Basil & Pork Belly Stir-frySpicy Chicken & Basil Fried RiceSo instead of a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon, I spent it cooking. I told everyone that they had to eat really s-l-o-o-o-o-w-l-y because I spent so long cooking!

the migraine is much better. It's very minimal now. I have an appt on Wed. They're going to put me on a preventative injection or do Botox to prevent this from happening, again. I will do Botox as long as I don't get the Joan Rivers cheeks. One of the other Aussie Peas, AllieC, was part of a trial a number of years ago. The trial was using botox as a migraine treatment / prevention. It worked really well for her. And she didn't have Joan Rivers cheeks! jeremysgirl your potato soup looked so creamy and delicious - both versions. I've never made potato soup. That house is amazing! I would be eternally happy to live that close to water. And I know it's all relative, but that same house in a similar location here would be at least double that (after converting $USD to $AUD). Housing prices are out of control here. The house next door to me sold for $1.6 million AUD a few years ago (which is about double the price of the house you linked, converted to USD), and it's nowhere near as nice as that lake house. I also love the second house you linked, is so cute!

I usually cook it on the stove like my Mom did. That's how my mom did it so I do it that way too! Let us know how it turns out. It turned out great! No different than when I cook it on the stove top. I used my enameled cast iron Dutch oven.

AussieMeg, thank you for the info. I am considering it. cadoodlebug, The funeral of Chuckles the Clown was one of the funniest tv moments of all time. It's one of my 2 favorite shows of all time. The other fave is The Carol Burnett Show. jeremysgirl, I love the character in that house. I can totally picture you living there so happily.

we both had mahi mahi fish. When I was in grade school in Hawaii, one of my favorite school lunches was baked mahi mahi with sticky rice. We would put our tartar sauce on the rice and mix it all in. Delicious! At the high cost of 25¢.
