thank you so much!!!! It looks out of stock at my Michaels, but I will look and see if they have something similar. I assume it has refills too?

The brand name refills are pricey - you can use a coupon at Michaels for them, but a better option is through off-brand companies like tape jungle (and I know there are more). I stock up every 2-3 years. Yes, I am an adhesive junkie! DO read other threads on the Scotch ATG before you buy. I ADORE mine, and have had it for, gosh, 15 years maybe? (I actually have 2). I think it's the most cost effective and truly sticky, won't let you down, adhesive. But lots of peas hate it: find it too large, hard on their wrists, difficult to refill (ahem, mom).

Now that you've taught me how to do the refills, I have zero trouble now! LOL

I have this one: Scotch ATG 714 and I love it. I get the refills from Tape Jungle and they last a long time. If you get the ATG new from anywhere else it's over $70. I know I didn't pay that much 20 years ago. The used one I linked looks pretty good although it's dirty. It can be cleaned up for that price.

I think there was a recent thread about ATGs becoming harder to find. If you can find one they’re great. I’ve had the same one for about 12 years and it’s still working great. I get my refills from Tape Jungle and have never had a problem.

Club Scrap sells the ATG for about $55. I am among the haters and returned the one I bought.

I'm another ATG lover. I think I purchased mine back in 2008? I even took it apart and spray painted it. I also get my refills from Tape Jungle and actually just purchased another box of 12. I went back and looked at my last invoice and the price has not changed since my last purchase either.

I was even able to successfully remove some rub-ons I had added to it. I got mine around-ish 2008. It still works perfectly!

Count me in as another devotee of the ATG. (I use many other adhesives, too, but this one is my ride-or-die.)
I once adhered a bunch of letters to an outdoor event sign, and that thing weathered a torrential thunderstorm with every single letter intact. That was early in my usage of it, and it sold me forever. I have a yellow model that takes 1/2” tape squirreled away in case anything ever happens to my main 1/4” one (the pink one from Michaels that most people have).
And ha, I spray painted mine, too, as the pink was a little bright for me. I used Krylon’s Glitter Blast in the color Sparkling Waters, so it’s a glittery shade of aqua. Love it.

Love my ATG! I won't ever change as the stick has been dependable for more than 10 years. I also get refills from Tape Jungle or Tape Deport. Me and two friends go in on a case about every third year.

Make sure to try it right away when you get it. It is too heavy for me. I use and love 3L Scrapbook Adhesive ex runner. I buy them on Amazon in bulk. I get a lot out of it. I’d post a picture but I don’t know how!

I have the yellow atg 700. It uses 1/2" tape. I would love a 2nd pink one for 1/4" tape.
I too order my refills from tape jungle. Even w exch snc shipping to Canada it's the best price I've found.

You all convinced me to grab one! Michaels had a 40% off coupon and I only had to drive 30 minutes (each way) to score one! I need to find these instructions on how to fill so I'm not a hater from the start. I also grabbed two rolls of adhesive at 40% off, it was all they had in stock.
I'm excited!!

When you open the lid to refill, you'll notice the threading guide imprinted right inside.

Glad you got the ATG gun! That is my favorite tape runner and my favorite liquid is Art Glitter Glue. It has nothing to do with glitter, but works fantastic for small pieces.

I know prices will start sky rocketing on things soon so I wanted to get something that lasts longer than the small adhesives from Scrapbook . com.
