She is like me politically, and we have shared many thoughts on trump and all his crap. Their son goes to a nonprofit daycare, where you pay based on income. They probably pay the highest rate. She found out/noticed that most of the workers and even the director were very pro trump, and discussed it openly. So she called a meeting with the president of the board, the associate director, and the director of the facility. She told them she was pulling her son out because she cannot trust anyone that is outwardly in support of a convicted felon to be responsible for her son's safety. She said it was the greatest FU moment in her life!
She said her husband said she was unhinged, I said she was my hero!

Good for her. Under those circumstances I would do the same. The people running that place obviously have issues with a lack of critical thinking skills.

How foolish of me to think that a husband and wife would be a team. Maybe the OP's nephew isn't involved in the child(ren) care decisions and doesn't care, but since he called her unhinged, I'd love to know why. Was it her decision to cut ties with the care facility in general, or was it because she felt a need to call in the president of the board, the associate director, and director of the facility to really give them a piece of her mind-you know, to really show them? IMO (not that I know, lol) the 'unhinged' comment was probably because the wife actually called a meeting with the board and told them what she thought of them. Sort of smacks of the 'oh, those silly / hysterical women' type comments. But good for your nephew's wife, for standing up for her beliefs. |

It's one thing to buy something from a bakery that supports Trump or get your hair cut at a salon that supports Trump. In my opinion, it's entirely different when you're taking about someone responsible for teaching your children. If I had a choice, I would not want someone who supports Trump and all that he stands for teaching my children. |
