I see so many products based around the idea of "sentiment strips": preprinted ones to cut apart and use, stamps and dies, TE even has specialized storage solutions for their sentiment strips. I've seen many makers with videos on the internet use sentiment strips as sub-sentiments or the like.
Hero Arts is one of my favorite companies. I bought two of their sentiment strip stamps sets (everyday and holiday) and the die for both. I think I've made a couple set of the everyday. I don't think I've used one.
I'm kind of beginning to think I'm not a sentiment strip person. Is that really a thing? Are sentiment strips a sort of stylistic thing that maybe you're into or maybe you're not?
Do you like them? Dislike them? Use them only in certain circumstances?
Talk sentiment strips to me, Peas!

I don't have any of those because I feel it would be an impulse purchase and then it would sit around not being used as often as I would think. Maybe I am just not that ambitious to have a bunch of sentiments waiting for me to use. I think I like the idea of picking my sentiment at the time of making the card, so no need for any extras.
If I was a mega card maker, maybe. But I am not.

I go with the basics for card making. — happy birthday, congratulations, that sort of thing. I have several of each so I have a variety like bold, cursive, or foil.
The other strips would be nice for layouts. I confess though that too lazy to stamp them out. I use premade stickers

I'm not much of a sentiment strip person. They impart a certain generic, stylistic look to cards most of the time. There are creative ways to use sentiment strips but most often they just get slapped in the lower third, left or right justified. Sentiment strips work best with bulk-craft cards without a deliberate intended recipient/event. They're flexible, particularly if one sticks to monochrome options.
I only do one-off specialty cards with very specific themes so they don't work for me.

Hmmm...I tend to make one-off cards for specific occasions or small-batch cards that are largely identical. I guess that explains why I'm not a "stripper". Won't be the first time something looked amazing in some video on the internet but turned out not to be for me. They're happening less frequently, so it might be the last (but I doubt it). Into the destash stack they go! p.s. If you ARE a "stripper" and you're reading this and you might be interested in 2 HA sentiment strip stamp sets with the die that works for both...PM me

I have a few sets. I like having an option for using them inside and on the cover of a card.

I have a stash for my cards. I use a lot of card kits and don't want to put a sentiment on until I know who the card is going to. These are vinyl sticker sentiments, but you could do them with stamped ones too.

I wouldn't say I use strips all the time, but looking back, I do use them quite a bit. It is often with a card sketch or Sheetload design that I am following, but not always. I like to have a sentiment on the front of my card and if it is a busy design a strip can work well.

Since I’m a generic bulk card maker I use sentiment strips often I make 100’s of cards yearly for different charities so they come in handy. I was at a retreat two weeks ago. I stamped and die cut a very nice pile of various Christmas/holiday sentiments/sentiment strips. I have made so many cards for our meals for wheels group, I’m almost out of sentiments. I will do another sentiment day this week.

I really like them for a quick slap-on sentiment that looks like you spent some time on it. I've made my own that I've been thinking about putting in my Etsy shop. I made white on black and black on white.

They are great if you are making multiples of one card. I have a few that I use but I prefer more interesting sentiments

I don't own any sentiment strip stamp and die sets. But I have used the GinaK has sheets with a bunch of the same sentiments. There's also a holiday and birthday version. Just cut them out (or foil them). I think we received the holiday version in a C&C kit and I used those on my holiday cards that year. And, thanks for mentioning the strips. GinaK has 25% off with the code CYBER 25 through 11/24, so just I restocked mine.

I don’t have any of the fancy stamp and die sets, mostly because every set I see has sentiments I would never use. I do buy sentiment sheets sometimes - Waffle Flower had some cute cat ones and I’ve bought the Paper Rose ones for Christmas (a mix of strips and some bigger ones). I often use them on busy cards where I might’ve skipped a sentiment, sometimes I combine them with an image or bigger die cut sentiment.
I was hoping that you were going to ask how everyone stores and keeps track of them because that’s what I’ve been struggling with.

I have several sets of the TE sentiment strips, and have used many out of mostly the Christmas set. I also have used some of the snarky, birthday, thanks, etc. I also have the organizer boxes. I do like to add a sentiment (sub sentiment at times) or several to the same card. You just have to get the hang of it!

I store mine in little plastic storage pockets. I add a label with the theme: Birthday, Christmas, etc. I keep them in a drawer with journaling supplies.

joblackford I bought the Taylored Expressions case. I think it's the size of a 4x6 iris case with two layers of light divided plastic inserts in it.

The most fun I had with the sentiment strip dies was using them for the background for some cards inspired by an Online Card Class. Tried to find it in my Flickr, but can't see it right now.
