I miss having an LSS near me. The owner was a neighbor. I worked there. I taught classes there. It was so sad when they closed, although a paper arts store opened soon after. It was about a 30 minute drive, though, so I couldn’t go as often
I was delighted to recently find a paper arts store within driving distance for me here, but it’s still far enough that I can’t go often.

I miss the variety of kit clubs. There used to be so many subscriptions to choose from.

Archivers. I worked there. I made next to nothing. I loved every minute of it. The ability to pick a rainbow of cardstock. The ability to print photos easily.

Oh artbabe, I miss so much of what has already been mentioned: the stores, crops, magazines, conventions. There's just no replacement for the feeling that I would get when walking into the lss. Something new, something colorful, something fun, something exciting. And of course I miss a lot of the old mfgs: October Afternoon, Jillibean, Making Memories, Cosmo Cricket. And, being retired now, I miss having more $$ to spend on supplies.

I miss local crops, magazines, Lifetime Moments , and KI Memories. I also think I'd be into the Scenic Route esthetic now - it wasn't my thing back in the day.

I'm very lucky to have an LSS locally and one about 90 minutes away. My LSS hosts regular crops (which sell out like crazy) and we also have regional crops hosted by Scrappin' Patch. Even with these options, I miss the big stores like Archivers. I also miss the excitement surrounding new releases, kit clubs, trade shows, magazines, multiple message boards, interesting new products and people who provided lots of diverse content.

I miss crops for sure. I never got much done at them, but I loved them all the same.
I miss how excited I used to get when it was time for a new issue of CK to come, out, too.

Honestly yes to everything mentioned but I think the online galleries are one of the things I miss the most. I know I can checkout design team social media and all those hashtags but it was so nice to have a centralized location. SC, Lifetime Moments and 2 peas had some of the best inspiration!

I think it was 2007 when I went to a convention and took classes from Ali and Shimelle and had 4 LSS's. I was just getting into it, and had no idea how good I had it!

I miss the LSSs the most. I loved seeing the new releases in person. Ordering them online where the colors seem off is sometimes aggravating.
