Why is CA off of the list? DH really doesn't want to go there.. We have been to San Francisco. I lived in LA. I suggested San Diego but he didn't seem to interested, so yeah, just a no go.

I didn't think of Nashville. (I lived there before) but love the city, this was before it really boomed.
But we talked and looks like Savannah is the winner!
I would love to take a road trip in the New England area, but that would be a fall trip.

Which is mainly the east coast.. with the exception of Washington/Oregon area

It been a while (maybe 10 years) but a friend and I drove the Turquoise Trail, Stopped so many time...it was really fun and interesting. Stayed in Taos for a couple of nights and Santa Fe for a few more. If you love art and artists, you will have an amazing time in the area. The hiking is great and there are so many interesting old sites to visit. I'd go back in a heartbeat. I hope you make it over that way eventually! My 50+ years BFFs and I had the trip planned and booked for our 60th birthdays in 2020 when you know what happen. It's still on our list but I think we are all a little worried booking it will jinx us and trigger another pandemic. If I don't make it with my girlfriends, this is definitely a trip DH will be happy to take. I just have to get him to retire. UGH! I also canceled my 60th trip that year, a cruise to Australia and then 3 weeks touring there :/ Someday I'll get myself over there. You and your friends need to book it...you will have such a wonderful time! And I doubt you're all so magical that you can trigger a pandemic.

Maybe St. Petersburg, Florida? That’s a place I want to visit. I hear it’s beautiful. I came in to say that. My sister moved there and it’s a great little city. Tons to do — restaurants, shops, walking, museums. The beaches are not in great shape yet from the hurricanes, but there’s a lot to do there. Downtown St. Pete’s is a really fun spot. I also loved Savannah (the only place I’ve been on your list.) Great food, easy to get around, lots of places to walk. Very historic.

Key West is totally doable on a reasonable budget. So worth flying into their airport. We've been during Spring Break and also May. Not cheap times, but not much more than other coastal cities.
