Good morning.
Today I'm just home w/light chores and rest. I have my voice lesson in the afternoon.
What is everyone up to today?
Dinner will be tacos. It's simple and quiet, well except for the crunch part.
What's on your menu?
How is everyone doing today?
KelleeM and karenlou, I'm thinking of you both today and sending peaceful thoughts.
Wishing everyone a calm, healing, and restorative day!

Hello scrapmaven! I am glad to hear you are going to rest and that you feel well enough for your voice lesson. KelleeM karenlou and **GypsyGirl** all of you are in my thoughts. I have one project I'm waiting on some information for. But other than that, things are slow here. Just the way I want to go out of this job. I've got a shawl I'm working on. Green. Feels christmasssy. I'm trying to talk Jeremy into a little holiday shopping later and then a stop at the farmer's market for a salad bar dinner.

Two more sleeps and I’m away! I’ve done my online check in and the airline has confirmed my driver pick up, now I just need to finish packing! I finished my last gift knitting projects and they can get packed tomorrow. Everything else is done, except for the last minute things like medications and electronics. I Vic also need to organise my travel knitting project(s) Dinner tonight is going to be chickpea and aubergine curry. I am debating whether to make a small batch just for today, or if I’ll double up and not have to cook tomorrow. Either way, I’ll probably heat up some naan to go with it. KelleeM and karenlou - sending my thoughts and prayers to you and all your family. Take care.

jeremysgirl, do you have a lot of gifts to buy? The fun gift will be for your little grandbaby. sueg , this is so exciting, but I'll bet the girls are even more excited. Your husband travels so much that I wonder if you get to travel first class the entire trip? My sil was upgraded to Delta One on her recent return trip from Japan and going coach is really going to suck after that. She basically had her own cubicle and seat that lays completely flat. Plus, she said the food was delicious.

Thinking of you KelleeM and karenlou! I have a few things going on today ... I am seeing my family doctor to update him after my hospital stay and discuss the fact that my foot is still giving me a hard time. Then I will hit a drug store that has a 20% off sale today to pick up stocking stuffers for my dd's ... we give toiletries in our stockings ... Later, I will go to my mum's to pick up her and her cat, Milo, to take him to the vet for an evaluation ... he needs to have a lion cut but be knocked out because he won't let a groomer do it ... silly thing! Dinner will be lobster bisque that I got at Costco ... I hope it is good!

Happy Tuesday! I'm just working on my socials this morning and then planning on putting up a few more Christmas decorations out this afternoon. I started watching Christmas movies to get me more in the spirit and it seems to have worked. The first movie I watched was "Die Hard" (which is a Christmas movie!) and all of a sudden, the shorted out lights on my Christmas tree came to life! It was a Christmas miracle I'm trying to talk the family into Taco Tuesday at our local Tex Mex joint but if that doesn't work, I'll make million dollar spaghetti casserole for dinner. Hope you all have a great day!

Sigh, I can't even think of something I want for dinner. I have the makings for something but I don't know if I want it. I may call it and request a pizza. Our favorite place opens up on Tuesdays so we will see. scrapmaven, your idea of tacos may work. I have some tortillas that need to be used. jeremysgirl, I hope you get your shopping. And the salad bar! Sounds delish. sueg, sounds like fun is just around the corner! leannec gosh, I hope you can get some answers for your foot. Lobster bisque sounds so good and warm.

I have a new supervisor at the office today. She's either picking up on my mental health or we need the doggy psychiatrist from Down and Out in Beverly Hills. "You're very pretty Matisse." She just breaks from time to time.

I plan to be at Costco when they open to pick up a few things. Then I'll come home to start my 2 batches of pralines for the luncheon tomorrow. My stirring hand has been giving me fits for a few days so I'll have to take it easy. Then at noon, I get to pick up my masterpiece from the Color Me Mine studio. Dinner will be spaghetti and meatballs.

Dinner will be tacos. It's simple and quiet, well except for the crunch part. Ha, we just have quiet tacos here, no crunch. the airline has confirmed my driver pick up Wow, this is a service I'd appreciate. Do all airlines offer it and do you need to be within a certain distance of the airport to be eligible? The first movie I watched was "Die Hard" (which is a Christmas movie!) and all of a sudden, the shorted out lights on my Christmas tree came to life! It was a Christmas miracle Hard agree. Definitely a Christmas movie. And I'm giving Alan Rickman credit for your lights coming on. I'm heading out in 10 minutes for yoga, then a grocery store run for phyllo pastry and Hershey's Kisses that I can't get at my usual spots but need for my holiday baking. I plan to make spanakopita and tiropita (spinach and cheese pies) this afternoon. Dinner tonight will be a vegetarian stir fry with soba noodles.

do you have a lot of gifts to buy? The fun gift will be for your little grandbaby. I actually don't have a whole lot of gifts to buy. Our kids are all getting money. But I do have stocking stuffers to buy. Kylon is getting a Brio wooden train set. I have a new supervisor at the office today. She's either picking up on my mental health or we need the doggy psychiatrist from Down and Out in Beverly Hills. She looks a little bit sad.

scrapmaven - we fly business class when we go back to Australia, with Emirates. In the A380, Business and First class are upstairs, with economy on the main level. The way it is laid out, there are 4 seats across each row and they alternate, so you get private space and lie flat beds. I always try to chose so I am in a window seat, so I have my table space next to the aisle and I am tucked right away from everything. They also have a lounge area at the back, so you can get up and walk there for a break from your seat. You can also get drinks and snacks there right through the flight. Sometimes they have live sport events on the in- flight entertainment - on one flight a few years back, there were a group of us watching a major European soccer match (Liverpool v Bayern Munich) in the lounge! Business Class also gives me lounge access at the airports, which is nice when you get there early and on the 3.5 hour layover. bc2ca - the chauffeur service is something that Emirates offers to Business and First class passengers. I really appreciate it on weeks like this, when DH will be away when I leave. They plan it so you get to the airport in plenty of time and you get dropped off just outside the Emirates check in area, so it’s only about a 50m wal. I think there is a limit of how far from the airport they service, but we’re well inside it.

jeremysgirl, that is her side eye look. But she does look sad in that picture. She's just acting odd in the last couple of weeks. She goes out now and doesn't want to come back in which is the opposite of what was happening earlier. She was attached to me like glue on Sunday and slept under the covers attached to me Sunday night. I'm hoping the added mommy time here at the office will help settle her.

sueg, that's very nice. My sil showed me a photo of the appetizer buffet in the Delta One lounge at the airport. WOW! I'm glad that you get to fly comfortably, since you fly for so long. naby64, my bff used to have a tiny office and his golden retriever came to work w/him each day. Big, fluffy doggie in a doggie bed that took up half the space. It was a great way to work, though.

trying to decide what to do today. my daughter with autism made it through the thirteen hour flight (premium economy), and transferred to 1 hour flight south.. and she did well!!! she did take advantage of help from airline between the two flights. we are all flying back together.. she has premium economy.. and we have business class. we are upgrading most often these days for anything longer than a few hours...

KelleeM and karenlou I am thinking of you both today. naby64 what a cute photo! Poor pup looks like my dog when he hides under desk when the dog groomer arrives. lucyg I finally got around to making the lemon butter pie you shared the recipe for the other day. I made the base on Sunday, then went to the supermarket to buy the rest of the ingredients. Due to the egg shortage, I wasn’t able to get any eggs until Monday. So I finished off the pie on Monday night, then we finally go to eat it on Tuesday afternoon. It is delicious!! DSO and I both loved it. I think I prefer my lemon meringue pie, but the lemon butter pie is definitely a keeper. I am going to make it for Christmas lunch, as it is a lot less fiddly than the lemon meringue pie. I love that it has a biscuit base instead of having to pfaff about making pastry!

naby64: Love the pup pic! I went on a solo shopping trip today about an hour away. I achieved my mission of getting my mom a custom designed sweatshirt that says Dog Nana. The store I went to does them while you wait. It turned out exactly as I wanted it. I also made a stop at Costco and spent money on stuff that I didn’t need. YDS’s truck died and it needs a new transmission. He’s borrowing DH truck until he can find a cheap car to buy to get him back and forth to work. Thankfully we are a 2 car family and I’ve told DH he can rent mine whenever he needs to go someplace! Supper was rechauffe steak, sweet potatoes and salad for me and Hamburger Helper for DH.

Hi everyone! Tonight for dinner we are having mac n cheese with salad for dinner. It’s not fancy but Dad requested it. I went to the Italian deli near me and stocked up on Crema (balsamic glaze) and I should be good into the new year.
It could rain tonight but the weather we have been having is amazing. I was outside in a polar fleece top and no jacket. It’s really awesome. If could snow but as of late it’s spectacular!

Dinner was the last of the turkey and gravy, plus fresh mashed potatoes (because I ran out of stuffing) and veggies. Also a little Halloween candy. Maybe more than a little. Thinking of you today and in the coming days, KelleeM and karenlou. AussieMeg, your lemon butter pie looks fab!! I’m glad you liked it, and I saved your photo to show the gentleman friend’s DD, who introduced it into my life in the first place. Linda, I went and found the link for you before I saw Megan had already provided it, and I don’t want all that work to go to waste, so here it is again. theviewfromgreatisland.com/lemon-butter-pie/
