What did you get for Christmas?

A pair of Soundcore earbuds that are flat enough to sleep in, even sleeping on my side - I use audio books to go to sleep and to return to sleep if I wake in the night, so these are great for me.

I got the wok and bamboo steamer I asked Santa for. 

The last few years, we have really had light gift giving, but this year, we have been fortunate to have solid jobs with great pay, so we indulged a bit. I got a standing mirror, a ninja smoothie maker, some jewelry, a couple different candles/wall mounted lights, nutcracker classes from Kate Spade, and my favorite caramels from a place in Central CA.

I asked for used chairs from the thrift store because the dining table set we inherited once upon a time only came with three and our other chairs are from IKEA and no one likes sitting in those. I received some kind of "build-it-yourself" dining room chair kit (4 chairs total) so now I guess I'm going to be assembling, gluing, and staining my own dining room chairs.

I'm not trying to sound ungrateful, and I did receive other gifts. The chairs just have me a little confused.

I lost one of my little diamond studs that I wear as a second pair. DH replaced them with slightly larger studs with screw-on backs. He also gave me a GC for 3 lessons with a makeup artist. He did really well!

The 3 Kurt Adler Polanaise Wizard of Oz ornaments I needed to complete my collection - Glenda, Wicked Witch, and Ruby Slippers. These were a total surprise from DH.

2 new Souper Cubes in their new color Blueberry - 2 tbsp and 2 cup.

2 new cookbooks.

2 new Peanuts Funko Pops - winter Charlie Brown with his tree and Winter Snoopy and Woodstock.

Mini Le Creuset Pumpkin Cocette.

And then goodies in my stocking.

I got a rice cooker (looking for tips and tricks if anyone has them), a Stormy Kromer winter hat, a Ford Bronco sweatshirt, and tickets to see Moulin Rouge with my DD and DIL in January.

DS is asking for a record player. Which one did you get?

I got a new knife set cause apparently my children think my old knives are pretty bad (they were..lol)  they got the type on the wood block, while I didn't say anything, I am trying to keep stuff off the counter and now adding this.  uggg... lol  

New pair of fancy sweats (old style) OFFLINE By Aerie Cloud Fleece - LOVE them.. so soft.  My sister swears by these cause that is all she wears pretty much since cancer started.  So DD got me the bottoms and I am going to order the top to go with them. 

Some scrapbooking/junk journaling stuff from youngest kid.

BBW candle and cute holder (round one with different buildings from around the world.  And some Gingham scent lotion (cream style) from oldest son.  And another gift that hasn't arrived yet but I don't know what it is.

DH either forgot it was Christmas or his gift is on the way.  He's out of town and should be here tomorrow evening.  He'll probably just say pick something off my Amazon list.  (It's all good)

My son in law got me a cute little birdie to add to my bird collection at work.  I have a nice bookshelf that has all kinds of birds on it.  He got in in New Orleans on their visit. 

Oh I forgot, my sister got me the Mrs. Beasley ornament from one of those collectible stores.. Franklin Mint? or something like that.  We just send random goodies to each other, so she sent this early so I would have it for this year's tree.  Front and center..

From my (adult) girls I got a large standing framed mirror, sweatshirt, set of nice pasta plate/bowls, 2 cookbooks, variety of scrapbook supplies and gift cards, coffee gift card, an expansion pack for a game I love, and an Apple Watch!

Dd also put a couple things together for me that I bought myself. Dh got me a couple scrap things I asked for and a chest freezer I mentioned I needed like the day before which was sweet. I had also bought myself some things and told Dh that was his gift to me so he didn’t “need” to get me anything so his gifts were a bonus.

Since I will be marathon training through a New England winter, I got a lot of running gear to keep me warm … a couple pairs of my favorite Athleta fleece-lined tights, an Athleta jacket, a pair of Smartwool ski socks (I love these for winter running!), multiple pairs of Hot Hands, and an Ororo heated vest. DH also surprised us by researching and buying a new cookware set. Ours is pretty old and the coating is flaking off (!) so I was grateful he did the legwork and picked out a set that will not do that. He kept saying it was not an exciting gift but since we both cook, I thought it was great!

Kitchen stuff, as usual. For some reason my mom always gets me kitchen stuff for Christmas. So measuring cups, new cooking utensils, baking sheets, washcloths and towels. Boring but useful stuff.

I had a nice holiday. Some jeans from Loft that fit great and 2 shirts-one looks like my mom would wear it so that one is going back but the other was good!

Nest brand rollerball perfume set (I love those). Also gravity salt/pepper shakers, a fabric shaver, and a remote kindle turner. New slippers and a holder for gift cards since I get a lot from school and need to organize them so I can use them!

Everyone had a nice, relaxing day ordered sushi and friends came to watch the Ravens game.
