I rarely if ever use mine. Is there a reason to keep it? I'd like to clean up my internet footprint if that makes any sense.

I use it all the time. If there is an issue they are very helpful resolving it.

I use PayPal quite a lot - I prefer to limit the number of organisations/businesses that have my credit card details and so I channel most online purchases through PayPal. It is subject to banking and other monetary laws internationally, and has a disputes process if required (though I’ve never had to use it).

I have used it a lot in the past, but over the last 6 months I have had a few problems so right now I have removed all my cards from it. Someone keeps setting up automatic payments to a HSN type site using my PayPal. I have had to get 3 new credit cards because of it. I only use my credit card for travel reservations and PayPal, so I think it is a PayPal problem. I don't know. So far I have not missed it, but it has only been a month.

I have a PayPal credit card, so all of my online purchases are made with it.

I use it whenever I can. If an eShop takes it, I use it. Mine is connected to my credit card, so it is nice not to have to enter my credit card number all over the place.

I used to have it, but got rid of it because I was tired of getting scam PayPal emails.

If it's available, it's my preferred choice of payment online. I've had maybe two problems with sellers over the years and they have sorted it immediately.

My bank account was hacked last month through PayPal. Someone used an old email address and changed the password and opened a business PayPal acct. The account was connected to my bank account and was a very old account which I never used. After many hours on the phone with my bank and PayPal, I got my $700 back. I had to close my bank accounts, open new ones and contact all the pre authorized payments and withdrawals from that account. It took weeks and many headaches. I highly recommend closing any PayPal accounts that you no longer use. Hackers have way too much time on their hands!

I rarely use PayPal to purchase. I keep it because its easier to receive $$ rebates in my PayPal account, e.g. Rakuten cash back.

I use it occasionally. I have my Rakuten rebates go there after they had a banking mess. I ended up with a check that my bank wouldn’t cash. I also have ran into a few online merchants I’m more comfortable using PayPal.

I don't know if this is true, but I trust them to vett sellers.
It is also quick and easy to use b/c my shipping details are stored on their site.

As of now, I am trying to use Paypal where I can so I can avoid putting credit card out on the internet. I don't think there is a perfectly safe option right now if you want to buy things online, but I know I want to work on reducing my online present and data from sites where I can. I wish I had realized the importance of deleting accounts as I bought things over time on line

I use it all the time. It's my favorite online payment platform. It is really the only payment method I'll consider when buying from an individual online since they offer protections for the buyer.

I use it anytime it’s available. Credit card only. I would never put my bank accounts on it. I've never had any problems with it.

I will say that it’s important to have as much security in place as possible with PayPal, or ANY account you have online. Choose long and difficult, UNIQUE passwords and always choose 2 factor authentication when possible. Use a trusted password manager to keep track. Set up notifications from your bank, credit cards and credit monitoring service. Check your accounts often and by all means close accounts you no longer use.

I use it as often as I can to pay online since it comes right out of my bank account and not a credit card.

I still use PayPal frequently, for sending/receiving funds with friends and family, and occasionally for paying for purchases. I’ve been using PayPal for damn near 25 years now, and have never had a problem with it that I can recall.
I also have Venmo for sending to those people who don’t use PayPal, but PayPal is always my first choice.
And a checkbook for dealing with my mother. 😆

I use it for a recurring payment for a monthly subscription. It’s the only option. I don’t use it for anything else. It’s not linked to a bank account only a credit card.

Me. I use it for most online orders, as well as for accepting payment for my business. I will continue to use it until is is no longer in use. I also use Venmo for my business.

I used to have it, but got rid of it because I was tired of getting scam PayPal emails. The scam emails don’t come from PayPal, and are also sent to people without a PayPal account. Like it here before have said, I use PayPal when I can. It’s quick, it means fewer companies have my credit card details and also as I means I don’t have to faff around with the extra authorisation measures that my bank now uses for online transactions.

Oh, I realize that. For some reason, I got a lot of them, and got tired of it. This was years ago, and I wasn’t using it for anything but eBay, so I just got rid of my account.
