Let's go! There is too much crappy news out there. Tell me something good.
I'm happy my neighbors are back from Arizona for the summer. My other neighbors return next week.
My DS bought a house and should close/move on the 16th. You may see me doing a happy dance when I have my house back to myself.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
What are you happy about today? Big or small!
I am happy to have my house back to just me and my grandson. My DS was here 3X from Thanksgiving to Christmas, for a total of 19 days. My former DDIL came right after he left for 5 days. I love them dearly, but enough!
I also hosted Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas day, so I am happy to get back to cooking for just 2 of us.

I had almost two weeks off of work and am returning tomorrow. I’m happy I had a lot of down time, time with my granddaughter, and time with my recently widowed friend. I’m also happy to get back into a routine.

I'm just happy to know what day it is frankly. They've been so out of kilter for the last 2 weeks but today is Sunday, it feels like a Sunday and Dh is doing Sunday things so I finally know where I am again

I'm happy that we have a new dryer and the last load of laundry that I must do this weekend is currently working through the machines. I actually air dry a lot of the stuff I wear but those 1-2 loads a week that I do use the dryer for were kind of gumming up the works. Plus my husband cleaned the entire laundry room, removed years of stuff that didn't belong there as it had turned into a bit of a catch-all (mostly with his stuff), and revamped it, removing a door at my request, and we now have a lot more space and an actual folding counter. We are going to make a mini project of installing shelves and probably repainting the room. It's a pleasure to be in there now and I am very happy about that. I need to start looking at ideas on YT and pinterest to see what others have done to foof things up in that type of space. Yay!

I took myself out of a volunteer situation that wasn't making me happy. It took me a while to make the decision, but now that I have - I'm happy I did.
I've been throwing bird seed out on the back lawn and right now I'm watching flocks of birds greedily gulp them down.

I'm happy that I have a chill day and that Christmas is all down and my house is back in order. The Seahawks are playing today but the game basically means nothing since we're out of the playoffs but I will watch. Oh and the Golden Globes are also on tonight. A very chill day all around.

I've loved having the Christmas decorations up, but they're going back into the loft today and I'm happy about that. It's also the start of the new Great Pottery Throw-down series tonight, which we love, so I'm very happy about that.

I have one more week with DS19 at home! Last year I was initially sad he had to go back to school so "early" compared to other schools, but it worked out great because a week later we got a ton of snow and most of his 9 hour drive would have been dicey. This current storm isn't hitting us nor most of the route he would take...but it's a moot point because he doesn't have to leave yet!
I'm also happy that we don't have to deal with the current ice & snow storm!

I finished grading exams! I teach two big lecture classes in the fall, and grading takes most of winter break, so it’s a huge task accomplished.

I’m happy that my Ravens won yesterday and that I’m on the backend of this cold I’ve been battling all week. Not so happy I’ll have to pass on my friend’s party tonight but I don’t want to any of my lingering germs possibly making anyone else sick.

I am happy that my entire family was together and celebrated Christmas a couple days after Christmas. All my nieces and nephews and their spouses and their children were all able to spend the day together and take some pictures of all of them and us with Mom.
We have never all been in one place at one time since the great grandkids came along. I’m also happy that I leave for Florida in 13 days.

Enjoying my last day of Winter Break and anticipating a snow day tomorrow. Tomorrow morning I will be either insanely happy (boy, do I love snow days) or scared out of my mind driving to work.
Today I have to go to the grocery store (if there is anything left) and clean out my garage a bit so I can park my car in it tonight (I rarely use the garage). Not my favorite things but could be a lot worse.
Oh, I also saw all three of my nephews yesterday and that made me happy.

I had a eureka moment when doing some genealogical research and although what we suspected will never be confirmed it's a big nod in the right direction.

I’m happy that Christmas is coming down today. Once the tree comes down and I vacuum up the fake needles that fall off of it, I’m moving this giant memory foam bean bag that’s sitting in front of my chair over to the spot where the tree was. If DD wants to keep sitting in it she can, and I can have the spot in front of my chair open again for my laundry baskets when I do laundry tomorrow. I like to sit on my ottoman and watch TV while I fold laundry and I haven’t been able to do things the normal way for weeeeeks. It will be nice to get my family room back to normal since it hasn’t been normal for over three months.
I’m happy that my kid actually went ahead and registered to enter a piece in a local art contest. She is SO good and after seeing the entries last year I know she would have won in her category. Part of the process is to talk to the judges about her art and her process which will be new for her. It will be good for her to push herself and go out of her comfort zone a bit.

I'm happy to be home, in my own bed, back to our typical routines/structure.
I'm happy that I only put up the minimum amount of Christmas decor so there's not much to take down.
I'm happy that we got to spend 11 days at our mountain cabin with all of our family and that we stayed an extra day and got to enjoy a big snow after too much rain and ice.
I'm happy that I took the time to work on a few imminent projects/to dos so I can attend to other things today.
I'm happy that we bought Wicked and I can fold laundry while watching the extras.

I am happy to be to have my house back to normal and not feeding a ton of people. I am happy this will be a normal week. I can't handle the holidays in the middle of the week. I had no clue what day it was...

My parents are heading to Arizona for the month of January and possibly all of February. Happy that they'll be seeing new things and be safely away from the snow and ice.

I am happy to be done laundry. My guy and I don't live together and his machine cacked out. I have been doing my laundry, his laundry, my son and his daughter's laundry for about a month (she is one of those "new towel every time I shower" people and due to some health issues, showers a *lot*). I have a renewed interest in cooking so made a sausage tortellini recipe I got here years ago last week and currently have a big pot of lentil soup on the stove. everything homemade just tastes SOOO good these days.

I am very happy today as I have spent several hours sorting through photos on the computer to be printed off so I can scrap them. Seems like I haven’t done any sorting for quite awhile and now it is done I’m looking forward to catching up with some layouts.

My daughter and her SO are buying a house - closing in the middle of February. It is exactly what they set out to find and they could not be happier.
