This year will be a scrap more and shop waaaaaaaayyyyyyyy less year! I have always wanted to try for 365 layouts, but never quite made it. This year I didn't even count my pages, but I know I didn't achieve it anyway. My DD is studying in Florence, leaving on 1/6, so there will be many pictures headed my way. I REALLY want to keep on top of what she sends my way via text, and instagram. She was allowed to go to Florence ONLY if I have her instagram account info, so I can print out those 4x4 pictures. Lol she agreed I have a 8x8 album from a NYC trip that I need to finish. I think we were there in the early 2000s. Plus a Disney vacation to finish. Eek, it really stinks that I have to work! So much scrappin to do! What are your plans/goals for 2015?

My goal in general is to scrap more. I want to try doing a little bit each day, which is hard because I still work full-time and some days it's all I can do to come home and get dinner on the table. As for a specific goal, I am taking a break from mini-albums, gift albums for other people (I did several this year), and basically anything other than working on my own 12x12 LOs. I have lots of pictures waiting to be scrapped, I have the paper, pages, & embellishments - really all I need is the time to work on them and not to get side-tracked with other projects!

Just to scrap this year. I started back in November with a 30 Days project, then continued with a small Christmas book- not quite December Daily, but close. I took a long break from scrapping, probably at least 6 years, but kept my stuff. Have experimented with pocket pages, and have found it to be a lot of fun. Want to finish setting up/clearing up my scrapping area and will try to get into a routine. No formal goals, nothing structured, just use my stuff and enjoy the process. I scrap for myself primarily, so don't need any pressure...

I think my goals are to not pressure myself.
The pics will be there. I am allowed to sit and read, instead of scrapping. It's okay to choose tv over scrapping sometimes.

I do a digital P365/PL type project and thought I would change it for 2015, but I decided now to continue it.
I did WITL this year and loved that project, so I will do that again.
I will not do December Daily again. I've never been happy with that project, and this is the last year I try. It just leaves me frustrated.
I'm doing all 6x8 scrapping this year, except for a couple of projects. Love working with that size.
My big project this year is to organize my photos. They are a mess. Digital files are on various different computers and mostly backed up on CDs, cards and external hard drive. I need one definitive source, and need to edit what I'm keeping and print out some favorites.

Same, shop less and scrap more!! My goal is to not buy anything for 6 months, with two exceptions. I have a monthly sub through April, and the scrapbook expo is in March. I WILL avoid Michael's, Joann's, Tuesday Morning, and all online stores!! I need to make a dent in my stash, which is filled with great stuff. I've been trying to make a page a week - like one of the posters, I work FT, have 2 little kids and sometimes just barely get dinner on the table, spend time with the kids and then collapse into bed myself! I have gotten myself organized in the last couple of months, so I know where all my stuff is, making scrapping a bit easier. Now I just need to DO it! I just scrap family albums, I'm on Jan 2012, so there's plenty to keep me busy! What I've found works for me is to put together a page kit during my limited week time, and put the page together on the weekend when I've got a bit more time.

Another to scrap more and spend less. I also want to work on my photography skills. Seriously tempted to try P365 again. It had been a few years now. I have plenty of cards and kits to use up. I also have some mini albums that I want to work on for holiday gifts hoping I can start now and just work on it all year instead of freaking out and having panic attacks at the last minute.
My goal is to enjoy my scrapping hobby more this year. Hoping to have less stash by the end of the year as well.

My goal is to get all my layouts into their albums. I'm terrible about letting them PILE up! I don't' scrap chronologically so it makes it difficult to put them away which means I procrastinate lol

Great thread! I want to: 1. Get all of DS's pages in albums. Like Kat, I don't scrap chronologically so this is kind of annoying. I usually just wait until I have a ton and then put them away. I do finally have most of his first year scrapped, so those need to go in his album. I even ordered more albums during Joann's black friday sale for this purpose! 2. Make a list of what pages are missing from DS's first year album & then do them. I know I haven't scrapped his birth story, my pregnancy pics and still have a couple monthly photo spreads to finish (these monthlies are in kits & ready to scrap, though)! 3. I want to scrap at least one page "extra" every month, on top of my design team commitment. I think by doing this I can get DS's first year album totally finished. 4. I want to use my stash for #3. No buying allowed! 5. I want to finish organizing my scrapbook room. And paint in there. This is a huge project I didn't get finished in 2014 and I just need to commit to finishing it!

My goal for May is to have five books finished (three are started). After that I am going to help my friend make kits. I have purchased over ten feet of paper. I never tell myself no buying. I enjoy the shopping as much as the scrapping, for sure.

I took a great PL class over on Big Picture and kind of got a rhythm down, but I was interrupted by the holidays and my DD. I am behind on DD because I got a Cameo for Christmas and have been working on trying to get this set up and understand how it works! So, my first priority for the year is to get my 2015 PL set up, finish my DD and then finish 2014. I also need to make sure that I use my stash (which was miraculously replenished in December due to the warehouse sales!) and keep focus on getting my pictures and stories in albums.

Most of my goals this year are the same as they are every year, lol. While I agree with LavenderLayoutLady that it's OK to read, watch TV, etc. and not scrap, I really do watch waaay tooo much TV. While I don't apologize for my love of the boob tube, if I scrapped half as much as I watched TV, I'd be in good shape. I am a chrono scrapper and am currently working on January 2004. Yes. That is 11 years ago. I need to get crackin'. I also do PL and do try to take a photo a day. I am currently working on April 2013. I need to catch up. My final goal is a new one for me. Usually I announce that I am becoming frozen. It is true that other than page protectors, blades & adhesive, I could scrap for years w/out buying another thing. It is also true that I get inspiration from perusing websites and browsing the brick & mortar stores (even Michael's, lol). Shopping makes me want to scrap more. So this year my goal is to shop with purpose & intent. To choose items that I need or that really inspire me to be creative. Not to just buy what strikes my fancy at that moment and to spend my money willy nilly. Here's hoping!

Stay current with recent pictures. Compose stories for childhood pictures and start scrapping them. Use my tools more!!! Finish up a couple of classes I haven't finished yet (photo editing, cameo and some from BPC, Shimelle and May Flaum).

I think just to scrap more - I didn't so much scrapping this past year - my creative motivation has been sluggish at best (haven't done much sewing either) and I'm hoping a new year will jumpstart that

I would be more excited about setting some goals if my studio space wasn't in the middle of a major renovation right now. So I guess you could say that my singular goal for right now is to survive this buildout without going completely, entirely, totally INSANE. I know I'm "crazy4scraps" but this project has taken things to a whole new level of crazy, LOL. I can't really even let myself think of anything else beyond that. And since I only have about 9 hours a week to work on things mostly uninterrupted, I'd be willing to bet that it will take me months more to get my mountain of stuff that has been in boxes since before we moved (some of my stamps have been on ice for over 15 years!) unpacked, gone through and a lot of stuff ready to purge when my friends have their annual spring sale.

I probably say this every year, but my goal for 2015 will be to scrap more. Trying to juggle housework and part-time work (at home), along with being chronically ill… it's tough. I never know how crappy I feel until I wake up each day, lol.
To keep myself accountable, I'm going to jot down few of my goals: 1. complete 3 LO's each month 2. complete 1 unfinished LO each month (I have a huge in-progress box) 3. download photos onto computer once/week 4. try to keep up with PL (I usually get weeks or months behind) 5. mini album for parents 6. mini album for in-laws 7. organize photos (maybe use software?)

I too, do not scrap chronologically, and have a pile of layouts waiting to be put in albums - usually 2-3 years in one album, so I HAVE to do that. I have oodles and oodles of sports layouts to do -2 of the boys play hockey, and they are both in the same team, however, 1 boy was also in a school team, and representative team - so I have all of them to do and the associated travel pics of tournaments etc that we went to (at least the last 5 years worth) I want to spend less (not stop altogether, although DH would love me too) I want to scrap more I would like to try more techniques - just got me some embossing paste and stencils - thanks Jennifer Mcquire! I would also like to organise my room to be more efficient and user friendly, lol

I have two this year:
1. To make scrapping/crafting a priority when I allocate my time
2. To find inspiration from others, rather than comparing my projects negatively to other people's work

My goal is to buy nothing except cardstock and adhesive, I don't need anything and I'm not scrapping as much as I used to (planners being my new obsession).

My goals are to focus on the stories, less on the photos/events. I have to catch up this past year a little since I was busy with a new house, but other than that, I try not to set too many goals, no pressure, no rules scrapbooking. I also want to continue efforts on ancestry research and start making some layouts for that.

'scrap more, shop less' works for me, too!! (sort of like Cathy Zielske's 'move more, eat less' class, lol!)
I want to actually schedule time throughout the year to scrap. I miss doing it, get out of the habit of being creative, then it takes so much longer to get back into a creative groove that I end up not getting much of anything accomplished.
There is a semi-local scrapbook store that hosts once-a-month 12 hour crops. I want to go to at least 4-6 of those throughout the year to keep up my creativity, and I am going to a 3-day SB retreat at the end of March.
We took about 2000 pics when we went to Hawaii for two weeks in July; my biggest 2015 goal is to actually plan and make the Hawaiian vacation mini-album I've been thinking about (and sort of planning) since last August.
And maybe actually finish a month-in-review album for 2014 (?); I made a couple months worth of layouts, but never got the rest of it done.
I don't like to make this kind of goals as a rule, because I usually don't have good luck at following through with them-- but these projects are ones I really do want to complete.
eta: from above: "2. complete 1 unfinished LO each month (I have a huge in-progress box)" This is a GREAT goal-- I have plenty of layouts in-progress because, as I said above, I don't have good follow-through skills!
I also would like to 1) actually re-organize my layouts in the SB albums. I took all my completed layouts out of the albums so I can reorganize my albums into 'home and family' 'travel' etc. sort of themes, but never actually finished the reorganization... they're all still in Iris boxes. 2) get a 4x4 Expidit (or whatever the new style is now) bookcase to display my albums in our living space, instead of having them all hidden away in my craft room.

1. Purge and organize my scrapping supplies. 2. Try to use cricut cartridges, embossing folders, stamps, etc that have been unloved.
3. Mail out a "thinking of you" card to a different person each month just so they can receive "happy mail". Being in the christmas card swap gave me this idea. It was nice to come home from work and just have some happy mail to open.
4. Try to catch up on scrapping some of my pictures that I have had for a while.

I want to actually schedule time throughout the year to scrap. I miss doing it, get out of the habit of being creative, then it takes so much longer to get back into a creative groove that I end up not getting much of anything accomplished. OMG, this. This is the biggest reason why I want my studio done! Having my cabinets, drawers and shelving in will quadruple my usable storage space, and the new counters will almost double my horizontal work area. I already have space for as many as five additional people to scrap at my big work tables, so the new counter areas will be bonus space. I like scrapping with other people but feel more productive and finish more projects when I'm at home surrounded by all my stuff, so once everything is put back together I can have people come over to scrap and that's been my #1 goal all along.

Going to start small or else I get discouraged and give up. Goal #1 is to get pictures into albums...doesn't matter if it is two photos on a sheet of cardstock with nothing else on the page. Better than the photos in a box. Goal #2 is to print out pictures that have been sitting on my computer for years. Everytime my daughter joyfully spends time looking through old picture albums when there was no digital and we were FORCED to process our film and get prints, I am reminded how important this is.
