I have many scrappy goals for this year! 1) reorganize all my albums 2) get all my scrapping caught up 3) stay current on scrapping... 4) keep working on my project life for current year

I have a very ambitious goal to catch up my scrapbooking over the next 3 years, starting today. From another thread, I determined that I should be able to do this (get the majority of my photos/memories scrapped) in about 1200 hours (about 8 hours a week/4 pages a week). But it will require setting aside time to scrap every day, not just on the weekends, and will mean giving up a lot of the detail I put into pages and doing a lot of simpler pages than I normally do, and spending less time agonizing over details.

I don't like to feel pressured into scrapping but at the same time I feel I need to step away from my phone and tv and create more.
I also need to focus on not comparing myself to others. I was NEVER one to do that but I was starting to feel bad towards the end of 2014 because my stuff wasn't up to par with the newest and greatest. Sorry I just can't afford to shop like that...but I do love to see what others buy that's new!
I also want to start coloring images. Also make more cards!

Honestly my goals are to purge, donate and organiZe, in that order. I don't care if I don't get one page scrapped or one card completed. My supplies have become an overwhelming burden that I just need to let go.

Organize photos once a month and upload them to a photo printing site. Complete my version of Project Life 2014. Continue with the same process for 2015. Organize what I want to scrapbook. Once my son is in school all day, make a bunch of pages.
I do want to buy more this year, but buy with a purpose. I did purge many years worth of stuff in 2014. Now I know what I'll actually use and need. With that being said, don't over think purchase either! I spend way too much time looking and not buying.

I would be more excited about setting some goals if my studio space wasn't in the middle of a major renovation right now. So I guess you could say that my singular goal for right now is to survive this buildout without going completely, entirely, totally INSANE. I know I'm "crazy4scraps" but this project has taken things to a whole new level of crazy, LOL. I can't really even let myself think of anything else beyond that. And since I only have about 9 hours a week to work on things mostly uninterrupted, I'd be willing to bet that it will take me months more to get my mountain of stuff that has been in boxes since before we moved (some of my stamps have been on ice for over 15 years!) unpacked, gone through and a lot of stuff ready to purge when my friends have their annual spring sale. We had a fifth bedroom and deck added in 2007 so I could have a scrap room and the boys could have their own rooms. It went from July 1st to October 31st. Our first contractor bailed after the deck (the only way to the back yard) had been torn out and tossed. It was a good eight foot drop and the dog was not a good jumper! I tried to take that time to go through my scrap stuff so when it was all done I would be ready to scrap. I brought it into a room box by box and purged. I was scrapping by the first weekend in November! Good luck! It will be great when it is done.

I want to take my wooden stamps off their blocks and put them onto cling foam...
Organize the closet on my scrap room so that I have all my season stuff in one spot, empty albums and page protectors in one spot, camera equipment in one spot, etc...
I want to organize my photos somehow - I have a Mac and I know there got to be a good way of doing it but I struggle with understanding Mac and all their options...
I want to scrap more... I'm a slow scrapper because I worry a lot about making decisions... I want to make more 'bad decisions' and just have fun making stuff... I think that setting an actual number goal would stress me out, so I'm going to just go by feel - as long as I'm making choices and making things, I'm not going to worry about a number... No more sitting there and just moving stuff around on my desk for hours!
I have no LSS so my shopping plan will be to only make four orders this year... With the insane stash I have a few new/current things should be enough to make me feel like I'm can play with some of the trends without buying too much... I also want to purge those little bits of ephemera packs and scraps that I keep "just in case" - to get rid of the feeling that not using every single inch of a paper means I've wasted it... I think that trying to force myself to use stuff gets in the way of my process...

My goals are: 1. To get my photo library organized and learn Lightroom 2. To get my printed photos off my floor and into albums 3. To establish a regular routine of memory keeping 4. To purge my craft space and supplies so I have a neat and organized place to create I've realized that although I have a huge stash of supplies that I love, I'm really a pretty simple scrapper. It's hard to purge but I need to do some purging and move some things into storage so it's not overwhelming. And I've obviously realized I need to put a hold on buying!

I was scrapping by the first weekend in November! Good luck! It will be great when it is done. That would have made me nuts! Glad it all worked out in the end for you though. I wish I could have been going through stuff while I've been waiting. I didn't have the room to go through things the way I wanted to before we moved, so a LOT of really old crap that I didn't even want anymore that was in the basement at our old house got moved right along with all of my current stuff that was in my studio at the old house. Then once we were unloading the moving truck, DH and his friends unloaded ALL of it, mixed together, and stacked it into a giant heap right in the middle of my main work space. Nice. So I got the fun task of sorting through all the boxes, and moving the dusty basement boxes of junk into the utility room and the other boxes of stuff got stacked around the perimeter of my space so I could set up my work tables. I only unpacked what I knew I really needed for work and left the rest boxed up because there was nowhere to put it away anyway. I didn't want to spend any extra money on something temporary. It WILL be great when it's done. When we moved in, our DD had just turned two. By the time it's done and my stuff is all unpacked, she will be FIVE. What stinks is that if I could have gotten it done right away like I wanted to, I could have been spending a lot more time down there working on both personal and work projects in a child-safe space this whole time. Grrr.

I have a MacBook Pro and always had/have a lot of issues with iPhoto. Last year I bought ScrapRoom software for organizing my photos and digital scrapbooking stuff (I use digi elements/papers for Christmas card photos, invitations, etc. but only the occasional scrapbooking project. I'm still mostly a traditional scrapper) and I LOVE it. It's easy to quickly import and tag everything. It's great for organizing photos and keeping track of which ones have been printed and then which ones have been scrapped regardless of whether you are a traditional, PL or digital scrapbooker.

I'm going to scrap more *and* shop more! I stopped shopping and feel like I've missed a lot of really cool paper and stuff! I do have a lot of stuff but now I'm going to catch up! I also am going to start a project life type of journal/album. Yep, I am!

Thank you! I'll look into that... I like a lot of the features that Apple products have, but I don't have a good understanding of how they work so I know I'm not being efficient... Between camera roll, photostream, iPhoto, albums, events - I'm never sure if I've got a picture saved or if it's somewhere else and I'm just seeing it on the device I'm looking at... It feels very insecure to me - I want them in one spot (hard drive) that I can pull them from and one spot as a back up... And the Cloud thing just confuses me more... Think this might need to be number one on my list...

I also want to add that I resisted setting the goal to get 'caught up' for years (I've been scrapbooking for 21 years now), but since I am an older scrapper I think I have used 'I just want to enjoy the hobby' as an excuse for all of my bad scrap habits for long enough. So I actually now have a goal that will push me toward getting the majority of my photos scrapped in some way, shape or form (I'm the one with the 3 year mission........)
As a secondary goal, I want to do something with all of the kits I accumulated belonging to a kit club for 3 years (kit club shall remain nameless). I really want to do some layouts from the original kits, and then mix the leftovers in my stash, but I'm honestly not sure how to accomplish that since I've never tried hard to scrap from kits. If anyone has any suggestions for using kits over the rest of your stash, I would welcome them.

Like most one of my goals for 2015 is to scrap more, though considering how little I scrapped last year that goal is pretty much in the bag. My real goal is to actually make my scrap time a priority during the month. That and take less pictures of food. It's a running joke in the family every time we go out to eat or have a celebration I take a picture of the meal. I tell them it's because it I don't get nearly as much grief when I photograph food as when I photograph them but the reality is I can count on one hand the number of times I've actually included food photos in any of my scrapping. And it's not like I'm a food blogger or take fabulous food photos. They just sit on my hard drive...sometimes I'm just weird. Ha!

Hmmmm yes goals sound like a good idea. I have been pretty good this last year about not purchasing too much so I would like to continue on with that. I would like to keep up some regular process videos on my youtube and spend some time on my blog ha! I want to spend more time keeping up on maintenance things this year.... responding to comments on youtube and encouraging other scrapbookers.

In no particular order I want to
* continue using up the older things in my stash. This year I put a small dish of random and left over embellishments on my desk and I've used up a lot of odd pieces that I thought I'd never use just by having them in front of me. * finish printing out photos from a vacation I took 3.5 years ago so I can create a simple album where I can actually see the photos while I continue to work on my full digi version * actually scan some more of my older photos and slides instead of leaving them stacked up in boxes in the corner of my room * finish some of my half done projects

If anyone has any suggestions for using kits over the rest of your stash, I would welcome them. I would pull out the papers and look for some combinations that I particularly like. I'd then go find some photos to go with those papers. Once I had the papers + photos I'd start throwing embellishments in each pile - by now I'd have some solid ideas of what each layout will be about so could match any themed products to the right photos. Often I'll do production line scrapping where I'll cut and attach all the papers and photos then move through all the layouts and do the journaling (this works best for me on my travel layouts where I tend to write most of the journaling ahead of time so just have to copy/paste and print). By the time I come to attaching embellishments I usually just work on a lo until it is complete. My final step, if it is required, is to add any finishing touches from my stash.

My goal is always to scrap as much as I can. But my goal for this first week of the year is to find the darn product I have for my pictures in time for my weekend crop! I have all the perfect stuff purchased and somewhere in the disorganization of this house, and just hope I can find at least some of it.
Specifically I want to find my Eagles stuff to scrap the football game my son went to.

these are mine: 1. I'm a chronological scrapper, and I'm on summer of 2011. I'd like to finish 2012 by the end of this year. I'm reading less to meet that goal. 2. I need to cancel my stamp of the month, as I don't really use them. Then style is too cutesy. 3. I just got a scrapbox, and don't love the way ive organized it. I need to find a way to love where everything is at. They just came out with a door panel that looks awesome. I may need to buy that. 4. Send cards more often to people for birthdays and other occasions. 5. Participate in the 2peasrefugees Christmas card exchange.
