Remember the paper that used to have lots of fibres in it? You could wet it with a water brush, then kinda pull the paper apart where it was wet, leaving a soft edge? Sort of like long fur...
I was thinking it would be fun to scrap some kitten photos matted with that type of paper, but can't look for it if I can't remember what it is called.

I bet I could find some mulberry paper deep in my stash! I used to love that stuff.

grammadee, I also have some mulberry paper in my supplies. Great idea for using it on a cat l/o. Wasn't this the stuff that people made those expensive "tear bears" from years ago?

I think I used it once, maybe twice but never really liked it. My LSS offered a class on how to use it. I always loved to touch it and look at all the pretty colors.

Back in the day before kits, I made my December Daily album covers out of mulberry paper, they are some of my favorite albums.

Omg blast from the past. I definitely bought and attempted to use it. I feel like it was big with wedding invites for a hot minute…..with a vellum overlay.

Thankyou so much! Off to search mulberry paper. This will be so much easier than Googling for "ya know, that kinda fibery paper we used to scrapbook with" I had a few sheets years ago and used every last scrap.
ETA Googled Mulberry paper Canada, and Amazon.ca can get me some by the end of next week! They had "natural" (which would have worked perfectly with this little kitty) but I ordered a pack of white bc I figured I could ink it if needed for this and other projects.

Cute kitty grammadee! I still have some mulberry paper. It's the kind of paper I don't use very often, but when I need it nothing else will substitute.

I feel like it was big with wedding invites for a hot minute…..with a vellum overlay. Yes!! Mulberry paper with a vellum overlay, that was my favourite way to use it! And I'm talking about in my albums, not just wedding invitations. grammadee I can definitely see why you want to use the mulberry paper for photos of that cute little kitten! Now I have to go pull out my first ever album, and find the layouts I did with mulberry paper.....

I still have some mulberry paper, too. Anyone remember the elephant dung paper? It was thick, fibery paper, with a homemade paper look? Still have some of that, too. ETA: That kitty is adorable!!

Okay, I'm going to need more details about elephant dung paper, lol Was it the thicker plain paper almost like a watercolor paper with a fiber-y type feel to it? If yes, I didn't know it was called that.

grammadee , what a pretty little friend you have! She is my dgd's new kitty and they live a long way away. I just get to see Juni-Purr in photos. But those photos are begging to be scrapped LOL.
